Joe “You Lie” Wilson apologizes to Obama
I hate politics, but this one needed to be posted.
I would have made a Dennis the Menace joke about “Mr. Wilson”, but some other sites already beat me to it. (Here's the video)
Remember that guy that yelled out “You Lie” to President Obama's speech? He kind of sort of made an apology.
This Joe Wilson heckled the President during his speech to a joint session of congress. Is this the way Wilson wants to be known?
What a sign of total disrespect. In the US, it is considered disrespectful to heckle your president when you are in congress. At some point, Wilson must have believed he was in a WWE stadium and yelled out what ever he thought was okay.
Did he really need to shout to President Obama? No, show a little respect. It is the same way I felt about the guy that threw the shoe at President Bush. It is unprofessional. Leave the shoe throwing and yelling to the assholes and douche bags. If you are a member of the press or Congress, don't behave like a child. (We all want to be Toys-R-Us kids)
Does that mean Joe Wilson should be punished? Nope, but he does deserve to the ripping he's getting from the press though.
Keep in mind, Wilson did in fact support a bill that provided money for Illegal Immigrants' Heath care. So , was he talking about himself?
The other element to this story is even stranger. Was the Joe Wilson outburst staged?

In the picture, Wilson's mouth is still open, apparently in the middle of his shouting "lie." ))
He claims it wasn't planned, and it just came flying out of his mouth. The picture doesn't really do him justice. It makes him look like he's just yawning.
Look at the two dudes on either sides on of him. Are they twins?
