After the Bomb, The Island is Apart

Don’t listen to those mean producers. If you start to cry, I’ll start to laugh at you.

Not everything is great on The Island

A couple of the Island producers blame the movie’s lead stars for the huge failure at the Box Office. They say a lot of the serious fallout comes from the poor acting from Obi-1 (I mean Ewan McGregor) and that pretty chick.

(("Listen those are superstars of the future, not superstars of the present. Even lesser television actresses, quite honestly would have more connection to that audience.”)) That’s pretty harsh.

I don’t think the blame is on the actors, but the fact that high-concept movies don’t connect with young moviegoers today, low-concept works like Dukes. I don’t like the direction it’s going, but it is the truth. Plus, critics hate Michael Bay so much, you better believe they will never give him a good review, it’s just facts.
