Bernie Mac RIP

Bernie Mac is Dead

A bit of upsetting news...

((CHICAGO (AP) — Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who teamed up in the casino heist caper "Ocean's Eleven" and gained a prestigious Peabody Award for his sitcom "The Bernie Mac Show," died Saturday at age 50. ))

I remember watching him on Def Comedy Jam, where he really broke out. If you get a chance, check out some of his earlier work on that show.

I think he was able to really shine in some of the roles he took in his movie career. He seemed to always play the creepy guy that wore bad clothes and talk in strange patterns.

Friday: He was great in this limited role. He played Pastor Clever, the horny Pastor.

Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood: He played the self-racist cop. What a great moment.

Get on the Bus: Another good role, but limited.

Ocean's Eleven: He had a few moments to shine in this role, plus third film too.

Bad Santa: Very funny in this movie.

Transformers: Hey, he was a car salesman that ended up having a bad day.

It will be interesting to see what the other actors and directors will say about this news.

Bernie Mac, you will be missed.

Yeah, it's so sad. I hadn't even heard that he was unwell. He was so funny in everything I'd seen him in.

Anon 1: He could tell some interesting stories in his day and he was one of the best comedians to come out of the 90's Def Comedy Jam.

PJ: Sad thing was I never heard anything about it really. Just thought he got a minor sickness. I guess I was wrong. A real shame to lose him.

Paul: Yeah, it seem to come out of nowhere. We now know he had some problems in his health, which probably was the reason he was planning on retiring.

This is a complete shock.
He was just in for pneumonia right?

Yep, there were reports of his death earlier this week, but they were false up until now.

Now, Isaac Hayes has just died and he is in the same upcoming movie with Mac called Soul Men

yeah, that really is upsetting. good to see so much recognition though. Rock and Ice-Cube pay tribute to him, found this in an article on KIIS FM's web site:
