Wanna be Startin’ somethin’

Wanna be Startin’ somethin’ (Deconstructed)

Back when I was playing the wonderful fun game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, I used to turn my stereo up whenever the radio in the game would play this song. It probably fits the time period of the game really well.

Way back in 1982, Michael Jackson created this really slick pop song from his Thriller album. Because the thriller album had so many hits, this song tends to get overlooked by people. However, it has a very strong kinetic energy to it that some of his other hits never had.

You can hear in his delivery that he enjoyed making this song. Yet, despite its fast pace, Jackson still incorporated his whole note chords, which he is famous for. There’s a kind of energy out there when an artist is at his top game. This was certainly Michael Jackson in top form thanks to his best record (Thriller)

So, you want to start something?

(Note: Billy Jean is mentioned here again)

Note II: Why is he calling people vegetables in this song?
