For those that don’t know, Scramble City was a short Transformers video that plays both as prequel and a sequel to the Transformers cartoons. The main story is set years before the 80’s transformers movie and deals with the construction of the new Autobot base Metroplex, which plays a huge role in the movie and the third season.

I think the American company should have done a prequel like this before the opening of the movie. Because the 2^nd season is set in the 80s, it is a little strange and awkward for kids to see the movie jump ahead to 2005 with brand new characters. And, they didn’t even brother explaining it in the movie.

Things worth noting

~Ravage can fly in dog mode in this video, but can’t in the American continuity. This is always jarring to see.

~We see that Ultra Magnus came to Earth sometime during the 80s after season 2.

~This is basically a mash up of all the combining Transformers.

~Spike’s father makes a cameo appearance in this episode, but disappears in during the movie timeline. Perhaps, he grew old and died.

~ Trypticon’s creation in this episode totally screws up the third season continuity. He was build in 2006, not in the 80s.
