DS9 review 4

Odo, is tore between his friends, who are dying in the big battle in space and his loyalty to the people of his race (the shapeshifters that command the Dominion).

Look at how detailed and frantic the battle is. Sisko and the fleet attempt to break through the enemy lines, but lose many ships. Star Fleet is able to break through the transmission interference.

Sisko’s escort ships are taken out, leaving his ship open for attack. The rest of the fleet is in fight of their lives so they can’t help Sisko’s ship.

Look at how the hull is shredding apart after the explosion.

I love the detail of this flyby shot of the USS Defiant. The Defiant moves like most of the ships in Star Wars.

Several Dominion ships break off and go after the Defiant as it weaves through the larger enemy warships.

The Defiant is surrounded by enemy ships with three or four ships closing in on their position.

It looks like all hope is lost for Sisko and the crew of the Defiant….

Somehow, all the Dominion ships following Sisko’s ship are destroyed by green disruptor fire from above…

The Klingons have arrived and joined the huge battle. They rip apart dozens of ships with their surprise attack.

This was one of the coolest shoots in the whole episode, because the Klingons join the fight just in time, to save Sisko’s life. The shot of the Klingon ships speeding down toward the Dominion fleet is an impressive FX shot.

Here’s another cool shot, as the Klingons fight side by side with their Federation Allies. The creators of DS9 must really like Return of the Jedi, the battles are similar

Thanks to the Klingons ripping the Dominion a new one, Defiant cuts through the battle to make it outside.

Only Sisko’s ship makes it out of the battle. Sisko knows that one ship can’t stop a space station by itself. But, He needs to make it to DS9 to stop the Dominion from disarming the Minefield!
