Milli Vanilli “Girl You Know it’s True” Super Club Mix
Admit it, you thought this song was hot when it first came out. Yeah, we all wanted to punch them when it came out that they were lip-syncing the songs and had nothing to do with the music. I guess the producers felt it was harder to market older singers with actual excellent singing voices, so they brought in these two pretty boys to sell the image. Sadly, the music industry hasn’t learned from the Milli Vanilli incident.
It looks like the director of the music video actually filmed a version of the video for the extended cut and the original shorter version. I actually like this version much better than the radio one.
-Didn’t they sample James Brown in this version?
-The rap in this song has a New Jack Swing feel to it.
-Despite the controversy, the real singers are good. I should have know that those voices weren’t coming out of those pretty boys.
-I also like the synth keyboard in this song.
Here are a few other versions of the song.
NY Subway: I’ve heard this one before a few times.
By the way, here is Fab, the surviving member, doing the song live.

I've always liked Milli Vanilli. Even when they were on the outs I did. It's just catchy. I even remember the Pepsi (or some soda drink) commercial they did where they were singing and then the track stopped played and they got the face of like "oops". They totally made fun of it and got endorsement $ out of it.
It is a real shame one of them died from an overdose. The actual singers are very talented. But it became awkward when the two fake guys went on talk shows to sing in real life.
But I liked the music.
