Dr. Laura, time to shut up...

Dr. Laura, you're an angry woman. After hearing about this N-word rant, it might be time for Laura to take some time off. While Mel Gibson can use the drug/alcohol excuse, she has no excuse. She is supposed to be a “Doctor”, but doesn't really act like one in that rant.

The problem with her using the N-word isn’t because other black people use it. It was the way she kept using it over and over again and the crap she was spewing afterward. Did she need to say the N-word 11 times?

And, what is this fascination with HBO? She mentions HBO at least two times.

Whenever, a white person says to me, “I hear black people all the time use the N-word. Why can’t I use it?”

I always shoot back with, “I don’t use that word, so don’t use it around me.”

While there are two different ways to say the word, most black people don’t want white people saying it either way. (Ending with “er” is considered racist, while “ga” means something different) Laura used the “er”.

I personally don't like using it, but the N-word has always been a part of our culture...mostly negative. Black people took the harmful N-word and turned it into something of a joke. And, other black people have used the word as a way of representing the foolish ways some of our people act...replacing the word “Ghetto”.

That famous Martin Luther King speech from the Boondocks episode comes to mind. The writers flipped the word again and made it something else.

I would like to live in a world where it isn't used at all.
