MGS3 Snake Eater Theme

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater theme

I was sold on this game once I heard this song being played in an early demo. Since the game is set 1960s this theme plays right in with the James Bond style, plus the fact the game is set in the Cold War. And, I really mean they really got the feel of the James Bond music here.

Norihiko Hibino wrote this song and many of the environment cues, and Harry Gregson-Williams did the movie scenes in the game.

Cynthia Harrell masterfully sings the vocals. She even makes “Sometimes you eat a tree frog” believable.

Here's how it is viewed in the game with the graphics exactly like an James Bond intro with a Snake theme. Even the names have a snake crawling feel. Brilliant...

Btw, here's an remix of the song. I'm not sure if this is a official remix or someone else did this version on their own. It should be noted that there are some real James Bond chords in this version. I really like this version the best.

I think this is one of the great video game related songs. It is an homage that doesn't parody.

Agreed, and I am a little disapointed they didn't follow that style for latest MGS3 Follow up, Peace Walker. since the game is set in the 70s they could have really gone with the either the 70s style of James Bond opening or even the all around style of 70s music.
