The Transformers Score

The Transformers Score

It looks like there will be a Transformers score release after all. Just keep the shitty rock music off the score. At first, there were no plans to release an actual score from the film and just have the more marketable 'Soundtrack' was planned. Now, that it has been a hit, they've changed their minds.

While there were some bits that sounded to Batman Begins like, there are some good tracks from that movie.

Check out this site for very cool pictures of one of the recording sessions with the Orchestra . It would appear that Nick Glennie-Smith helped Jablonsky out on some of the sessions. I'm guessing Zimmer did so as well. The site also states that Jablonsky also wrote a version of the old Transformers theme from the 80's. I can't tell you how much I loved seeing those brass instruments.

Here are a few tracks to listen to...

The Deception Theme: I actually like this theme with the male voices

Autobots Theme: It uses some of the amazing The Arrival of the Autobot theme as well.

Someone also plays one of the other themes from the score on piano. And here he plays the other theme I mentioned before.

While not the type of score I wanted in a Transformers remake, but there are some good simple themes used in there.

There's still no word about if the score is going to be released anytime soon. That's a really good fan-made graphic of a Transformers score CD though :-)
