The Fantastic Four (Roger Corman's movie) 1994

Fantastic Four (The unreleased Roger Corman version)

Say what you want about the last two Fantastic Four movies, they aren't nearly as bad as this 1994 version. I decided to watch the movie after reading the Rotten Tomatoes' overview of Marvel Comics movies.

Keep in mind, I've liked the FF comic book characters, but these characters in this 1994 movie are even close to those characters. They seem more uh Douche-Bag-ery.

1994 Fantastic Four Part 5

1994 Fantastic Four Part 6

Man, I couldn't finish watching this movie because it is so terrible. The acting from some of the actors is so wooden they could be Ents (from The Two Towers). Surprisingly, this reminded me of the Power Rangers show.

Now, the story behind this terrible movie is a big story in itself. You can read the whole story in this link and it is an interesting story. Basically this version of FF was created because

Constantin Film was about to lose the film rights to FF, but they wanted to keep the rights. They couldn’t secure 40 million for the budget so they found 2 million. Honestly, how does one make a cut from 40 to 2 and still think they can make a quality movie?

Roger Corman came in to direct the movie. What we got was this mess.

Yet, you can tell the actors are really trying to make the best out of it, and I'll give them that. But still...

Some say this movie was never intended to be released in theaters and was just way for the producers to hang onto franchise.

But, I’ve heard others say they did intend for this movie to be in theaters.

There are a few questions have about this version of FF...

Why is Eric Lassard in the movie? You know, the guy from Police Academy

Why are there Mole People in the story? Isn’t Dr. Doom enough?

When I look at the picture at the top, it almost looks like what they would do in a parody movie, not in an actual movie.

Yeah, I hadnt noticed that but your right. If you look at the trailer for this monster of a movie, you might get that impression too.

During the 90s they actually had pretty good full body makeup artist and costumes and there is no reason for The Thing to look like that.
