Dom DeLuise dead at 75

Dom DeLuise dead at 75

From People,

((Dom DeLuise, the comedian who became a household name in the '70s and '80s for his small but memorable roles in Blazing Saddles, Cannonball Run and Spaceballs, died late Monday night in a Los Angeles hospital. He was 75. ))

I remember watching him in Cannonball Run when I was a kid. He was a funny guy. I had totally forgotten that he was in Smokey and the Bandit II , a series similar to Cannonball Run

He started doing more voice work later on in his career. (("All Dogs Go to Heaven: The Series" ))

For a bigger guy, living to 75 is pretty amazing.

One thing I forgot about him was this.

((DeLuise, who often made jokes about his rotund figure, was an avid chef who wrote four cookbooks. He also wrote seven children's books. ))

He was a chef.

Some of his funnier stuff came from the Mel Brooks movies though.

Anyway, he'll be missed.
