Batman: The Animated Series Score (The Last Laugh)

I always loved the score to this episode. I’ve been praising this show and the high quilty of the musical score for years now. The amazing music by the late composer Shirley Walker and her fellow composers really brought a seriousness to the series.

They took the mold of Elfman’s Batman score style and extended it to the animated series. Walker would leave her own mark by creating some amazing character themes.

What’s interesting about this episode is she brought in a hip-hop beat mixed in with The Joker theme. She also has her version of the Batman theme mixed in with Danny Elfman’s theme toward the end. It’s a fun little suite, so listen to it.
