Man killed by train in Frankfort Ave
On Friday night, I was driving through Frankfort Ave and noticed the CSX owned railroad track had a train sitting on it and it wasn't moving. Trains never stop on the Frankfort Ave portion of their track. So when I went out to walk down Frankfort Ave, I saw the actual engines were detached from the train cars. There were police and firetrucks everywhere. That meant there was an accident.
Later on, I found out a man was struck and killed by the train. He was sitting on the tracks when the train hit him. The engineers did everything they could to stop the train.
Taken from the news page
((Before he was struck by the train, Holt was spotted sitting on the tracks, Louisville Metro Police spokesman Phil Russell said.
Police are still investigating the incident.
The results of toxicology tests are pending, Wesley said.))
I have to wonder if he wanted to commit suicide or he was drunk. You know when a train is coming down the tracks usually. We'll have to wait and see.
Here's some video of a train at the Frankfort Ave crossing. BTW, this crossing has been modified since this video.
