Lost composer Michael Giacchino decided to put a cute Easter egg (The Man from Tallahassee) into an episode of Lost.
In that episode, Locke breaks into a submarine and walks around it before blowing it up. The musical cues being played at the time are the Locke theme and U-boat theme from Medal of Honor, which Giacchino worked on also.
It was a nice little tip of the hat to Giacchino fans that notice those sorts of things. I noticed the MOH theme back when this episode aired. I’m glad other people noticed it too and posted it in the link above.
Below is the U-boat theme I’m talking about.

Here’s another version from MOH Frontline.

That clever Michael Giacchino.
(Side Note: Film Composers sometimes put little hidden themes from their earlier works into their current projects.)

Giacchino's work on the Lost S4 finale has pretty much cemented him as a legend in my book.
Thanks for the tidbit, Semaj - I'll have to listen out for it in this ep once I finally get around to buying the S3 DVDs!
No problem
I got a kick out of his newer themes from S4, like the boat/civilian theme.
I just wished more shows would take on his style.
