Commander Sisko’s cold meeting with Captain Picard
This is a defining moment in modern Trek history. This was when Sisko has to come face to face with Picard, the man he kind of blames for death of his wife. I know hardcore TNG fans say Sisko totally disrespected Picard in this scene. I have to side with Sisko a little bit because he did lose the woman he loved.
I think it was a bold move by Michael Piller to have the two main Characters of their respected shows to be in conflict with each other.
-Watch Picard’s expression when Sisko tells him, “We met in battle.” Picard has sense of regret.
-Sisko never takes his eyes off Picard in this clip.
-Picard pours tea for Sisko, but Sisko never drinks it.
