The Hangover
Hangover isn’t for everyone. For the most part, the movie is very funny. There are some pacing problems toward the end of the film, but it certainly makes up for with a strong beginning.
After a bad bachelor party, three out of four friends go out to find their missing friend and find out what happened during those missing hours. The story involves metro-sexual Chinese mob bosses, Mike Tyson, a chicken, Roller Girl, and a baby.
About 2/3 of the movie is extremely funny. There is a lot of energy, balls to the wall attitude, to the Hangover. However, the one character that keeps this movie going is Zach Galifianakis. He’s like Jack Black and Will Ferrell mashed into one. However, he’s a creepier version of them.
Part of the fun of this film is watching the three men try to figure out what happened in that party. Things get crazier and crazier as the story progresses and you will love seeing this aspect of the story.
The main problem with the movie is that it quickly loses steam in the last act. It was like the writers started to lose interest in the story. It is a shame because the movie has so much energy in the first section that the payoff is a little disappointing.
Overall, the movie is pretty damn funny and very raunchy. With a few missteps, I still enjoyed the ride.
Grade: B
-So, what about Mike Tyson? Well, I sort of wished the marketing people didn’t give away his appearance because that would have shocked everyone. Tyson is fair in the movie, in his limited, but important role in the film.
- Heather Graham still looks great, and she is kind of playing an older version of Roller Girl. Oh, and you get to see her boob.
-I do have to call out one scene that clearly is either a homage or copy of a certain scene in Tommy Boy involving an animal in a car. I couldn’t get the Deer scene from Tommy Boy out of my head.
-The dirty wedding singer (and his band) from Old School and Starsky & Hutch, make a return here with a funny version of a 50cent song.

There were definitely some hilarious moments, but I agree with you that it ran out of steam at times.
I also agree that they should have kept the Tyson cameo out of the trailers for more of an impact.
I remember hearing people in the theater commenting about Tyson showing up as they heard the music. They already knew his scene was coming up.
The shock and humor of this scene was gone after the trailer.
It felt they were grasping at straws in the third act.
