Man, some movies just don’t age well. Growing up in the 80s, there were only two Jet Fighter pilot movies out there. And, Every little boy wanted to be like Tom Cruise in Top Gun. Yet, There was another Jet movie that came out around the same time: Iron Eagle.
Looking back at IE, I can say with certainty that this movie sucks and is very corny.
Yet, I have questions.
How the hell do they steal two jets and make it all the way to Middle East without know it?
How did Louis Gossett Jr. survive that crash? Sounds like test audiences didn’t like the original ending.
Why does Jason Gedrick have a better career than Louis Gossett Jr. at the moment? Gossett Jr. co-starred with Chuck freaking Norris in Firewalker. That should count for something, right?
Why were there three sequels to this movie? Iron Eagle II (1988) Aces: Iron Eagle III (1992) Iron Eagle IV (1995) All starring Louis Gossett Jr..
