Why I love The Boondocks

The Boondocks is probably one of the best-written shows on TV (besides, The Wire, The Shield, and Lost).

You see Samuel L. Jackson plays a white character by the name of Jin Rummi(A white guy who acts black). Yes, can you imagine a white character with the voice of Sam Jackson coming out of it? His partner is also white and played by Charlie Murphy (Eddie Murphy’s brother)

Take this quote

Jin Rummi: I always say the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.
Riley: What?
Jin Rummi: Simply because you don't have evidence that something does exist does not mean you have evidence of something that doesn't exist.
Riley: What?
Jin Rummi: What country are you from?
Riley: What?
Jin Rummi: What ain't no country I ever heard of! They speak English in what?
Riley: What?
Jin Rummi: English motherf*cker! Do you speak it?
Riley: Yeah.
Jin Rummi: So you understand the words I'm saying to you!
Riley: Yeah.
Jin Rummi: Well, what I'm saying is that there are known knowns and known unknowns. But there are also unknown things that we know we don't know.
Riley: What?
Jin Rummi: Say what again! Say what again! I dare you! I double dare you motherf*cker! Say what one more time!

So, you see most of this quote is lifted from Pulp Fiction (Which has Sam Jackson saying the same lines, but it’s funnier coming from the character we see on screen on the cartoon)

Another great line…

White House Spokesman: And so, we're raising the Terror Alert Level to intense Orange-Red. Based on incredibly detailed information on a non-specific threat. Could it be a hi-jacking? Absolutely possible. Chemical or biological agent? You bet it could happen. Suicide bomber? Hey, ya never know. But what we do know is that it's absolutely, positively gonna happen today, maybe

Then when Jin and his partner try to rob a gas station with Middle Eastern owners, the owners fight back.

Rummi:I ain't think that they'd actually shoot back at us.
Huey: Well of course They're shooting back at us! You're robbing their store!
Rummi: You can't assume that people are going to shoot back at you. It was an unknown unknown.
Huey: Need I remind you that this has nothing to do with our original plan!
Rummi: Damn it Huey! Robbery etiquette says you can't criticize a robbery plan during the actual robbery. You have to wait til the robbery's over.
