Final Fantasy XII

This is what’s cool about the battle system, if another monster come across you and attacks on sight, they will attack you while you’re fighting another monster.

Sometimes, if they’re the same race, they’ll run up and help their fellow monsters (This is called Linking in the Online world.)

Also, some monsters don’t like each other and will attack their enemies in front of you, killing them.

Final Fantasy XII playing

I went to a friends house Sunday and chilled for an about five hours. He got the newest RPG Dragon Warrior/Quest game, which also came with the demo disk of FFXII. I got around to playing it.

~When the disk begins, you will see a bunch of clips of CGI scenes edited into a trailer. All of them are in Japanese, except for the voice over guy, (He’s kind of corny.) I dig the dark skinned “Cat” women.

~The disk gives you two areas to play, and strangely enough, each area has a completely different group of people in your party. (Is this a story thing or a demo thing don’t know).

~I chose the dungeon first and played the game. The character’s all three of them run round a dungeon together. You can choose which character you want as leader. The other two will follow. Now, here’s where it’s different from the normal FF games, no longer does the Screen swoosh when you go into battle mode.

~The style of battle gameplay is straight up like FFXI online. You choose command and the character does those actions. Here’s where it differs, you can move around the creature and attack him from various locations of its body and it actually matters.

~The music reminds me of FFT. Probably because it’s the same team.

~The Graphics are freaking great.

I’ll have more later…
