Prelude to Axanar: Star Trek: Axanar

Prelude to Axanar: Star Trek: Axanar
This is a prologue to a fan-made movie, which has a kickstarker page for the actual longer movie. From the kickstarter page, ((Axanar takes place 21 years before the events of “Where no Man Has Gone Before”. It tells the story of Garth of Izar, the legendary Starfleet captain who is Captain Kirk’s hero and the role model for a generation of Starfleet officers. Garth charted more planets than any other Captain and was the hero of the Battle of Axanar.  His exploits are required reading at Starfleet Academy. ))
The Kickstarter has already met and exceeded its goal by 156,000.
The FX looks amazing and the story seems to really fit into the Trek Lore. So, I am looking forward to this movie. The cast is made up of solid sci-fi actors and actresses.
-The FX is outstanding: I love seeing the Klingon ships looming the Federation cities.
-Picard talks about the hard times that happened between the Klingons and Feds. It is nice to see it in action. During Kirk's time, they are in a Cold War with them, so it is interesting to see the two sides in all out war.
-Ambassador Soval!: Gary Graham reprises his role as Soval. I loved the direction they took his character in season four of Enterprise. Graham is great in this short movie.
-They mentioned the Romulan War. The writers and producers really did their research, because the birth of the Federation came about round the same time or near the end of that war.
-Captain Garth is from the third season of TOS. He was SF hero that went nuts.
-We also get a glimpse of a certain familiar starship.
-There are also nods to Star Trek Into Darkness. There are major nods to DS9's Klingon conflict too with a location being mentioned.
-J. G. Hertzler as a human: That's a nice twist. This guy is a great trek actor. He was just wonderful as Martok, and his two roles in Enterprise. I am glad he's found time to do this movie because he is actually a councilman in New York too.  BTW, you can hear Hertzler in the first Bioshock game as the Doctor Splicers.
-Richard Hatch  as a Klingon. I never thought I'd see the day. Hatch as kind of become the actor that's fully supported fans and convention up there with Hertzler.
-Nice Pre-TOS uniforms.
-Tony Todd!

-We also got to see the Klingon D7.
