Jamie Foxx gets it right with Polanski

Jamie Foxx gets it right with Polanski

From CBS News,

(("If it had been my daughter who was barely a teenager — my daughter is 15 — Roman Polanski would be missing ... period." ))

That was Jamie Foxx's statement about how he feels about Roman Polanski. I have to give Jamie Foxx major points for going against the grain and saying what he feels. People have somehow forgotten just how young the child was and what exactly he did to her. (In good taste, I'm not going to mention all the details.)

Would the people defending him feel differently if it were their daughters? There are too many Hollywood types out there throwing aside his actions because he is great filmmaker. Many people said the same thing about Michael Jackson. You can set aside his work away from his actions.

Trust me, Jamie Foxx later admits that was his first thought as a father. But, here's what he really had to say about Polanski. (("It wouldn’t even get to the court case. But, that’s me and I wouldn’t want anyone else to follow that because you should let the justice system work it out," he told the magazine.))

Yes, let the damn Justice System work it out. He'll probably never see a day in prison. But, he has to return to answer for his crimes. 30 years is enough.

I don't support vigilantism, except for Batman and Daredevil, but you can understand where Foxx is coming from.
