Marlon Brando plays Superman’s father, Jor-El. Brando gets top billing because they paid a LOT of money for him to show up in the movie. Brando was suppose to be in Superman 2, and even filmed scenes, which were later cut due to lawsuits by Brando. Please note Brando was not the star of this movie.
