When I first read name and heard her name, I thought, “There is something familiar about her last name.” After doing some digging, I discovered that Kristinia Debarge is the daughter of James DeBarge. You know him from the famous group DeBarge. (Rhythm of the night)

Because of her musical family history, Kristinia DeBarge has been singing since she was a little girl. Some might remember her on the American Juniors talent show (American Idol spin off).

From there, she began to work with super producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. Babyface is the face of pop music (pun intended). He’s worked with greats like Aretha Franklin and Michael Jackson and countless other musical greats. Her debut album Exposed was released back in July.

Did I mention that she is extremely cute?

After listening to some of her acoustic stuff, I can say girlfriend has a nice, strong voice on her. There is some power behind that voice. Like Mariah Carey, I think her strong voice will carry her through different musical eras and styles.

Anyway, I would like to thank Sideways Media for introducing me to her. It was a treat discovering her music and her family history. If Kristinia DeBarge mixes her strong voice to various styles of music, she'll be around for a long time.
