((Chase has been threatening to pull the plug on The Sopranos since the end of the first season, but there's a definite air of finality to the 20 episodes that begin tonight (a dozen over the next three months, with the last eight kicking off in January). Intimations of mortality, if not morality, are everywhere.))

Yes, the show is coming to an end. I just hope Tony gets whacked at the conclusion, or at least goes to jail. He’s done too many evil things.

One of the things I always found compelling about the show was the fact that most of the characters are bad guys, but there is some good in some of them. There are times when you actually hope Tony wins. But in the end, He’s a made some terrible choices and should pay for them.
