The D-Bags Vs. The D-Bag Clothing Chain: Abercrombie & Fitch vs. Pauly D and The Situation

We're D-Bags!!!
The D-Bags Vs. The D-Bag Clothing Chain: Abercrombie & Fitch vs. Pauly D and The Situation
Abercrombie, the stores with the annoying techno music and rude employees, has a “beef” with The Situation. They don't want him to wear their clothes anymore (evermore). From ET Online, (("We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino's association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image," the retailer said in a statement. "We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans," the statement added.  ))
I hate Jersey Shore and I really hate The Situation, but I smell a set up from Abercrombie. It just feels like someone in PR thought it would get them more attention if they went after lowest hanging fruit...The Situation. (Update: it was a stunt)
Now, A&F's stock dropped after the “incident”. Look, getting anywhere near the Jersey Shore cast will destroy your career and even lower your stocks, so stay away from them.
I have no idea who to cheer for, because we all lose in the battle. I want both of them to go away.

I too have hated Abercrombie with a heated passion only surpassed by my distrust and loathing of Nike.

Can a clothing store tell someone they can't wear their products anymore? Is this something that will have to now be addressed in copyright/trademark laws with the rise of reality TV?

Ack what is the world coming to?

I actually know a guy that worked for the store and he fit right in with their a-hole personalty.

I never got the blaring Techno and the smell of Axe body in the air.

We could very well see companies telling people to stop wearing their clothes. They pay people to wear their clothes to be seen by the press, so the flip side could happen
