The Mummy Returns

http://www.iesb.net/scriptreviews/mummy3.php

From Moviehole.net, (("The Mummy 3" will be set many years - apparently the 1940s - after the events of the last film, "The Mummy Returns". Though O'Connell (Fraser) and Evelyn (Weisz) are still very much in the picture, it'll be up to their grown-up son, Alex, to do the Mummy mashing. The new Mummy - Yep, Arnold Vosloo will not be returning- will apparently be the desiccated remains of China's first uber-Emperor Qin Shihuang, who wants revenge on those who turned his team into stone all those years ago. [You can read a review of the script at IESB].))

Above, is a script review of the new Mummy 3 movie. I do not like some of the elements in this one. Like the reviewer states, this movie is set in 1940 and in China, there should be some subplots dealing with the Japanese invasion in China and the rest of Asia during this time. Here, there are only a few mentions of it.

BTW, Moviehole.net reports that ((today that Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz will indeed return for the next "Mummy" film.))

Brendan Fraser doesn’t have much else to do, so of course he’ll join. (Is there a Monkeybone 2 in the works?)

I actually enjoyed the first two Mummy movies. Hopefully they'll keep the momentum with this one.

No doubt, I loved the first one, here's the bad thing though, the kid is now grown up and is now the star of the movie. Even though that might change.

i hope the kid isn't the actual star, because the kid annoyed me.

I'll have to check the timeline of the movies, Paul. But I think by the 40s he'll be around 16-18
