Picard:  "Data, get off the F'ing warp core.  I just had that thing cleaned."

~MC has an outstanding post about the Battle between two LA Invasion movies Skyline and Battle: Los Angeles. It does look like the FX people that worked on Battle did rip off that movie with Skyline. That's a shitty move on their part I think. Sony might just let this one slide because Skyline bombed at the box office.
~Denis Leary is in for the Spiderman reboot? It is certainly starting to look that way. He is in talks to play the character Captain George Stacy. He is Gwen Stacy's father. James Cromwell played the character in Spiderman 3. I felt he was underused in that movie and so was his daughter. Leary might be a good choice to play the character though. It should be noted that Stacy dies in both the main Marvel and the Ultimate universes. So, I'm guessing we'll see him die at some point in the franchise. But, will it be before his daughter dies?
~Antimatter Breakthrough: I guess we're coming closer and closer to using this form of energy for power just like in Star Trek. The Large Hadron Collider folks have said they stored antimatter larger quantities for an extended period of time. So, we have cell phones and Transparent Aluminum, I think we'll have the Holodeck next...and antimatter!
~Film Composer Howard Shore will score the upcoming Hobbit movie. This is good news because Shore scored the music to the Lord of the Rings movies earlier. So, now there will be an uniform sound from the prequel. Shore and Peter Jackson had a bit of a falling out during the post-production of King Kong. Shore wrote a complete score to Kong, but Jackson threw out the entire score and Shore left the project.
~Speaking of Film Composers, the Hollywood Publicist that was shot five times and murdered, Ronni Chasen, was a publicist for many of Hollywood's film composers. Will the cops ever figure out what happened? Probably not completely.

Someone figured out that the Kinect camera can be hacked and turned into a rough 3D Camera with an image you can manipulate in real time, so the holodeck thing is closer than you think from becoming a reality (if you don't have to physically interact with the things around you at least.

Wow, that's crazy. I guess we can also look forward to Holodeck and food replicators as well.
