Wow, much cooler looking, but what's the reason for the black? i didn't read or watch that much spidey to know if there was any black suit in the comics, is it some sort of infection?
Yeah, you’re right Spiderman was sort infected with this black liquid, which covers him and changes his power levels (Much higher). He later discovers that the black suit is actually alive and changes his attitude for the worst. He ends nearly killing someone and rejects the suit. The suit then leeches onto another guy, they call themselves Venom.
Venom thinks he’s a hero, but he’s not.
Spiderman does take on another black suit for a while, but this one was just a normal suit.
So, that's the story behind Venom? cool, never knew that.
What was strange was Sam Rami (director of Spiderman) was not interested in even bringing Venom into the movie continuity.
He made many statements saying he'd never bring Venom to screen. I guess he changed his mind.
