PowerPuff Girls learn a new word…(Curses)

Image
PowerPuff Girls learn a new word…(Curses) I love the group learned how to say “F’ing” and show cleverly edits the cuss world out.   I am surprised they even got away with implying the word. I also like the huge monster with the potty mouth…literally.    Who created this giant monster that cusses a lot?   So, they defeat the monster by forcing a truck full of soap down its throat.   I also like that even the bad guys and biker types can’t stand the number curse words coming out of their mouths.   This aired way back in 2004.   http://powerpuff.wikia.com/wiki/Curses I really need to watch more episodes of this show.

Fifth Element

Image
Fifth Element The Nostalgia Chick reviewed this strange but interesting.   I am not sure about some of the tone as NC mentions in the review, but the overall story about Evil and the attack on Earth.   When I first watched the movie, I didn’t really get it.   I got caught up in some of the more silly “comedic” bits and found the movie unsatisfying.   ~ Tommy 'Tiny' Lister :   Having this big hulking guy as the President of the World is rather amusing.   I didn’t get it when I first watched the movie, but now I love the idea of Tiny Lister as the most important man in the world.   ~ Ian Holm and his monk partner:   I still hate most of the scenes with these two.   Most of the problems I have with the film stem from these two.   ~ Leeloo : Milla “multipass” Jovovich is cute in the central role.   While wacky, her performance is very good.   No matter how many RE movies she does, she will always be known as Multi-Pass.   ~W...

Cameo "Candy" and other covers and remixes

Image
Cameo Candy Music Video version Man, I love this song. I remember hearing this song on the radio all the time back in the 80s. I was also a huge fan of the group Cameo, minus that red crotch-strap. The music video version of the song adds a saxophone to the track which is not part of certain versions of the song. By the way, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas uses the song on one of their radio stations. Here is the remix This song was so popular that a few artists reused the baseline and even the lyrics in future song. LoverBoy Mariah Carey actually brought back cameo to sing their lyrics for her “Loverboy” song. She even had them show up in the music video! And, here is the remix for Loverboy. Damn, she looks amazing in these videos. If I am not mistaken, she re-sung the track for the remix. She certainly bounces around a lot more in the remix video. Will Smith “Candy” This track also brought back Cameo to sing new lyrics. I love how Will Smith uses ...

The Flaming C: Conan Superhero?

Image
The Flaming C: Conan Superhero? Bruce Timm and the people over at WB actually took Conan's character and added the character to the Young Justice cartoon show. It seems Timm added the Flaming C to Justice League. But, did this actually show up on the real Young Justice show? By the way, I love the oven mitt. And, it looks like you can actually buy the action figure right now . I really do need to check out the show because I am a huge Justice League fan. And, I love seeing that Bruce Timm, the man in charge of all the WB movies, has a sense of humor.

Random Stuff

Random Stuff ~ Octomom, it is time to just go away : I like how 15 minutes of fame has been extended to like 20 to 30 minutes of fame. Can we stop her from making a complete and utter fool of herself. Now, she's into strang e baby fetish porn stuff with Vivid . I like how she refuses to get a real job and keeps on trying to get into reality shows and crap like these photos. While I agree with that at least she isn't using the government for welfare, I don't want of mother of 14 to be making these videos either. ~ Anne Hathaway as Catwoman? Hey, it couldn't be as bad as the mess that Tim Burton created for Batman Returns. It appears Hathaway is tapped for the role of Catwoman in the next Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises”. Hathaway has always had that cat-appearance. ~Alicia Silverstone?: Remember when Silverstone was the hot stuff? T hey mentioned her in a fan commentary for Batman & Robi n. I remembered her getting a huge three-picture deal back ...

Bargain Bin DVD

Image
Bargain Bin DVD I went strolling through the “evil” Wal-Mart and stumbled upon the DVD section of the store.  I discovered two classics that I’ve seen repeatedly over the years on basic cable and HBO.  They were only five dollars each so well worth it.  They were... The Lost Boys:  Nope, I am not talking about the two shameless sequels that came out recently with Corey Feldman , but the bloody original one that I still think holds up today.  Surprisingly, the DVD is a two-disks set with all the special features.  I pretty much watched all the features and all the deleted scenes.  There were a lot of deleted scenes with the mother ( Dianne Wiest ) working part time at the video/music store of the main vampire Edward Herrmann .  The extra scenes do pretty much spell out that Herrmann’s character was the master vampire with extra hints.  There is also an extra touch where the mother is still afraid of Max’s guard dog.  This DVD is...

Serpentor: This I Command

Image
Serpentor: This I Command I recently re-watched the mini-series that introduced Serpentor to the GI Joe series.  One of the things that he always said was “This I Command.”  I kind of liked Serpentor, and he was a great foil for Cobra Commander.  I know that a lot of Joe fans hated him, but I thought his origin was pretty original at the time.  He always came across as a spoiled brat because his DNA build up was incomplete, which meant he was another terrible leader just like Cobra Commander.  Plus, the man was such a badass that he wore live snakes on his outfit, which he used as weapons.   By the way, I really hated the way the DiC series wrote him out of the show.   I actually had the toy too that came with the floating chariot.  Serpentor just needed a hug...

Steven Archer: The guy that tunneled into a GameStop and got caught

Image
A man tunnels into GameStop and steals nearly $5400 in games in money Most gamers want to dig out of GameStop and not inside it, due to its bundle policies and used game prices. This guy did it all wrong and tunneled into the store. The amount of effort it took to get inside gives him some points. So, how exactly did he do it? From Geekosystem.com , (( 33 year old  Steven Archer  was  arrested this Thursday  in Tennessee for breaking into a vacant building and using it as a base to tunnel into his local GameStop next door.  Although Archer was not ultimately successful (that is, he was arrested), he initially got away with about $300 in cash and more than $5,300 in games and electronics.  So, that’s a pretty hefty haul. )) T his guy deserved to get caught because he scoped the shopping center out by driving in a purple passion colored SUV. I guess he was a hardcore gamer that never played GTA or the other crime based videogames.

World of Warcraft: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Easter Egg

Image
World of Warcraft: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Easter Egg I did some research and the EE is old, but it is fun that to discover it anyway. The developers of WOW seem to be big time fanboys because there are a lot of references to other franchises throughout the world of WOW. There is also a Planet of the Apes reference. Here are a few others...
