Carnage in C-Minor
Holy crap, this is considered one of the worst episodes of Transformers ever. The animation errors are horrendous and numerous. The concept of musical aliens is poorly done. They speak only in auto-tune musical tones. It seems the animation budget for season 3 was reduced, and they brought in some shitty studios to do some work. When the Japanese studios worked in the third season, there was a noticeable improvement in the animation.
Characters who died in the movie show up in the background, and there are tons of size mistakes between the robots. I believe AKOM is responsible for this sea of mistakes. Combiner robots are the same size as the normal TF characters. It also is interesting that they use a lot of season 1 and 2 characters.
Even though it is terrible, I kind of like it in a basic "so bad it is good" sort of way.
-Soundwave and Blaster can hear and understand the musical aliens. Can’t the other character understand them?
-Buzz Dixon wrote the episode, which makes no sense. Dixon was one of the better writers from GI Joe and TF. When he wrote this episode, was he high? Yes, S3 has some strange episodes, but there were also some really daring and well-written episodes too. So, the writing and animation were bad.
-The Space Probe from Star Trek IV?: Part of the sound of the harmony seems to be from the whale-space-effect from ST-IV. Voyage Home came out the same year as this episode. So, was it some archive sound effects that both companies used?
-Given all the mistakes, did they even storyboard this episode?
