They're a fake

This is why I love Supergirl.

Could you even do a plastic surgery joke today in the comic book industry?  Kat Grant is portrayed differently in the Supergirl show than in the comic book and the Lois and Clark show.  She was portrayed by the sexy Tracy Scoggins on the Lois and Clark and was written out after the first season.  Given we are in the age of the New Warriors and Internet gases, could you get away with a “slut-shaming” joke in the comic books?  Are comics to woke now?   

Keep in mind I was reading Hitman in DC back in the day.  That was dark, mean and politically incorrect.   There is a wave of desexualizing both men and women in comics of late.  Maybe it is the Internet gas getting to me.
