About that Katy Perry Lawsuit (Dark Horse)

This lawsuit has been floating around three to five years.  It has been finally completed last month.  A jury awarded a win for a Christen rapper and claiming that Katy Perry.  I am calling BS.
From Billborad.com ((It was just one jury verdict against songwriters who came off as unsympathetic in testimony. Then an appeals court upheld the verdict with damages lowered to $5.3 million. And on July 29, a jury ruled that Katy Perry and her co-writers had taken a six-note sequence from the song "Joyful Noise" and awarded $2.78 million to the Christian rapper Flame.  ))
I know most people born in the 2000s aren’t aware of this, but both songs were inspired by Art of Noise’s Moments in Love.  The descending notes and the snaps on the 2 and 4s clearly inspired both artists.  I can’t believe I know more than the experts that discussed it in the case.  Perhaps, Perry needs better lawyers because this shouldn’t have ended with her defeat.
Just like the Blurred Lines lawsuit, people I guess don’t understand the difference between inspiration and theft.
Congrats, Flame, you won a lawsuit in a case where you took a note run from another son and claimed it as your own.  Sorry, this is BS. Take a listen to the Art of Noise's track.
