Prince and the Batman soundtrack

I love the Danny Elfman score more than anything else.  It is dark and brooding.  However, the Prince stuff is rather entertaining too.  I think they should have carried over Prince for the Batman Returns soundtrack too.
Midnight's Edge did a story about the story behind Prince's Batman soundtrack album. One of the best side marketing things WB ever did was have Prince connected to the Batman 89 movie. All the songs fit within the Joker's troll-ish attitude. Now, I had no idea about the MJ thing. It would make a sense that WB would want to connect MJ and Prince to the album.
I do believe Midnight's Edge is wrong about one thing. The Bat-Dance song is in the movie. In the beginning, you can hear a slowed-down version of it as a car drives past the family walking the alleyway.
As far as the unreleased Batman song that Prince wrote, listen to it below.
It is a neat track that has a Joker feel to it. It seems Zimmer took some inspiration with his Joker theme in TDK.
Side Note: There are allegedly tracks of Prince making songs for Batman Returns which Burton rejected because he wanted to move away from Batman 89.

What is interesting about this Prince/Joker character is that it is a take on the Two-Face character.  Two-Face was only hinted at with Billy Dee Williams.  If Burton hadn't change the plans of Batman Returns, we probably would have gotten the introduction of TF.  Prince being a Batman fan threw in that little Two-Face cameo because he wanted to.
