We now know what happened to James Van Der Beek?  He ended up in this strange cross between a Skittles ad and a Gaga video.  I also find it amusing that the video is called “blow”.   Are you trying to tell us something, Kesha?

“No mythological creatures were harmed in the making of this video.”  Thanks for the warning Kesha.  Yes, this warning is in the very beginning of the video. 

With the video beginning with some unicorns in business suits, it is kind of interesting.  I like the nice touch of the CGI eyeballs, because they blink and move.  Yet, the video takes a dump on itself when the damn music begins with this electronic shaver sounds that is considered the beat.  It sounds bad even for a Kesha song.

It gets even worst when she opens her mouth does that robotic singing bit.  The actual “blow” mixing with the beat isn’t bad, but the computer needs to take credit for that.  “This place is about to blow” stuff doesn’t sound bad.  It is the rest of the song that sounds like dumpster music. 

Kesha has no musical ability.  Most of the coolest stuff about the song is done with the editing and computer work. 

Did I mention how badly Kesha looks in this video?  I know it’s mean, but I hate her look.  Going for the Furry stuff, she licks the unicorns and attempts to hump one of them.  She makes out with unicorns to one-up Lady Gaga.  Since she is probably giving all of them numerous STDs, do unicorns lose their magical powers? 

The video turns into a game of laser tag with Kesha and James Van Der Beek killing most of the unicorns in a shootout.  The unicorns bleed rainbows, and I got to say that was clever, it is a shame the song isn’t that good. 

The song is slightly better than her other stuff.  Mainly, this is because the editing of her voice into beat is a nice touch.  She seems to have toned down her drunken rapping/singing a bit for this song, which shows some maturity.  It is just not enough.  The video gets extra points for digging up Mr. Beek and making him cool.
