Nintendo decides to drop their creators' program
Yeah, it took them nearly five years to finally understand how streaming works. Since the N64, I felt the Big N was completely out of touch. And, this was the reason Square left N for greener lands. When YT came along, they wanted to put tight restrictions on people putting gameplay on videos. Every decision they made would be seen as being behind the times. The creators’ program was no different and people stopped playing and streaming games.
From Variety.com ((The Creators Program allowed YouTubers to use copyrighted Nintendo materials in their videos, but it also forced creators to split their advertising revenues with the company. Anyone who wasn’t part of the program risked having their videos flagged and/or demonetized.))
Yeah, the Wii U would have been a bigger hit if they let normal people stream their first party games. Anyway, it is good to see N step away from this stupid idea...finally.
