Some journo got caught spying on an internal Zoom call with another newspaper.  The problem is this opens up the guy on a lot of legal problems going ahead.  You are usually protected when you use an “inside source”, but you breaking into the bank doesn’t cut it.  I can see this tactic being used for a criminal organization, but another newspaper makes it seem petty and stupid.   Given he works for another news company, he could find himself getting into a lawsuit, but he probably doesn't have that much money.  

It is okay to seek the truth when people are being harmed and trying to get in on the inside of something bad, but spying on a fellow paper is not it.  

When Aljazeera is more ethical than you, you know you got a problem.

Yeah, this is very sad.  It is sad when a journo behaves like a blogger.  And, the thing is he can’t even do snooping correctly.  He was literally back-traced back to his phone.   

FT suspended him, thus giving him a spanking.  For a guy who doesn’t shut up on twitter, he is very quiet now without updating his page in a while.  Given that his job is now being “self quarantined”, you would think he’d be tweeting up a storm.  All is quiet on that front.  Hmm? 

Side Note:  I can’t find that “ethics in journalism” tweet.  Did he remove it?

I am a little late on the Tiger train, but here I am.   

Well, each episode gets crazier than the last one.  I didn't know anything about the documentary other than the appearance of Joe Exotic on John Oliver's show.  People at work were talking about him and I love animals, so it piqued my interest.   Like a virus, I caught the bug and watched the entire thing.   

This show is like an onion. You will see so many layers.  It is a mixture of poor white trash and a bunch of rich people. Throw in a bunch of big cats and you got a story where no one is a good person.  Tiger King isn't truly a documentary, but more of a reality show with doc overtones.  If this was a show on cable or network, I wouldn't be interested.   

Having watched a lot of media, I've never encountered a story where everyone is a terrible person.  There are two main characters in this strange story that bob and weave into each episode.  Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin.    

 Joe Exotic:  The man and the legend, in his own mind. Like Trump, he's the greatest thing in the world to himself.  And, he will let you know it.  He's a gay, gun-toting, redneck country music singer who happens to own his “exotic zoo”.  He is the kind of guy that shines in front of the camera but it a bit of an asshole to his staff.  He is very guarded how the camera shows him, but is also a pretty stupid guy that uses big cats as his gimmick. He's so consumed with himself that he let his enemies take over his rickety kingdom. He destroyed himself.   

BTW, he is a cross between a WWE character and a Las Vagas magical act.  

 Carole Baskin: Baskin is the Joker to Joe's Batman.  Baskin is another big cat lover that hates Joe's zoo.  She is that person kind of person that smiles and pretends to be your friend, but is planning to stab you in the back.  Baskin is an evil woman but in a different manner than Joe.   

There are some issues with the show, but overall, it is fun to watch these stupid self-centered people f'ing each other over. With the exception of the campaign manager and the person that got their arm ripped off, no one else is a good person.  Tiger King is a shit show and trash, but it is hard to look away.

Shit got real.  Of course, this happened in Florida.   

This whole story is wrong.  Look, I am okay with people having multiple relationships and open relationships.  The problem arises when you introduce a baby into your twisted fantasy.  Despite putting forward this relationship, one of the “men” attacked the baby by beating it multiple times.

A cross between the Joker and Mark Wahlberg.  

This creepy green hair dude is the one beta that beat the living shit out of the baby.  He did it because it would not stop crying.  I hate to break it to you but that’s what babies do, Ethan Baucom.  This is what happens when you invite a bunch of losers into your bed at the same time.  I also like how the press promoted this strange relationship, but now refuse to talk about it the baby-beating news.  It is as if it never happened.  You can check out the original video on the NY Post.  The news company that made the original video has gone out of their way to remove it.  It should also be noted that Tory Ojeda, the woman/mother, knew Ethan the longest.   

I am all for open relationships, but that needs to change once you introduce a baby into the situation.  Anyway, I wish ill will on Ethan Baucom and I hope the prison population beats the living shit out of him.  I hope Tory grows up and takes on one man kicks out the rest of beta dudes.   

Stuber is stupid

My life will literally be better by not finishing it.  

Congrats, Stuber, I gave up on watching this movie after 15 minutes.  Despite being about to sit through some of the worst movies ever, I just could sit through this thing.    Kumail Nanjiani  is one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen.  He is actually playing one of those beta dudes that pines over the hot girl hoping they would notice him.  Dave Bautista is very terrible as the tough-guy cop.  Bautista is great in the Guardians movies.  I just had to stop the movie and turn it off.  It is bland and stupid.   And, why does this movie feel like it fell out of 2008 instead of 2019?  Despite the Uber connection, it has that horrid 00s feel to it.  

So, goodbye, Stuber.

Why is it that I can listen to J Pop and K Pop, but popular mainstream Chinese music is something I can’t handle?  Is it the autotune?  Anyway, I used to watch Bart Baker’s parody videos.  They were extremely funny and well made.  I checked out his channel a few months back and noticed he had not updated his channel in a year.   

To my surprise, he quit YouTube to become a social media star in China.  That is a strange transition.  I’ll let the shitty Vice story do all the talking because it seems like a fluff piece.  What the hell happened to Vice?  I used to love you.   

His new music and Tik Toc type stuff are cringe-worthy to me.  Have I turned into a boomer or am I still a doomer?  

For me, I would like to rebuild my brand in all territories instead of China.  Singing songs on all social media platforms would widen your audience.  It just seems odd to take this route.  I am not hating the hustle because I am working a job I loathe and he’s doing what he wants.  While I am an American, I try to keep this blog open to everyone (Strangely enough, I get a lot of hits from South Korea).  I just think he should open his market up.   It seems strange to see him become the thing he made fun of all those years.  His new stuff isn't for me, but I wish him luck.
