This is one of the most insightful and funniest videos pranking these assholes.  These guys have been targeting my mother lately and I’ve telling her to just leave the phone off the hook.  I believe they’re hitting me up via a car warranty scam.  What makes this scam so crazy and mean spirited is that they use a multi-layer scam to get you to send money to them.  

-You will get a call or an e-mail stating you are eligible for a refund.  Call this number.   

-They connect to your computer and take control of it.  They let you log into your banking site.  

-The screen either goes blank or static and they fake edit your banking amount and pretend they sent you too much money.  They put up an edited HTLM page and show you the mistake. 

-The scammer pretends he will lose his job and wants you to take the excess money out of the account via gift cards.  They will take the money and it is done via a third-party IE the gift cards.   

Basically, this scam makes you clear out your bank account by helping the scammers clean the money by putting it on gift cards.  They target elder people and try to keep them isolated from younger people.
