It starts out shaky, but it gets better toward the end.
While the interview wasn't great, it does reveal certain things about our
bloated TCAP guy some 12 years later. While Jim wants to forget about
his drunken drive across Ciney and Northern KY, he is reminded of it
every time his probation officer visits him. Currently, he is in poor health.
Rauch didn't
really show up on the show because NBC was done at that point and he
never made it inside the sting house. The cops pulled him over in the cul-de-sac. After never shutting up in the KBI interview, he spent three in a half years
in prison.
Rauch is one of
those creepy grandpas that you should never have your children around. He's
become a bit of an Internet meme with his
drunken 2-hour interview and his creepy phone
call with the decoy getting lost on his way to the sting house.
The thing I find
fascinating is that he is not interested in his infamous role on the
Internet. Unlike a certain musician from NJ/NY, he doesn't make
songs about his arrest or flag or copyright strike people's channels
down. Stephen GC, I am looking at you. Anyway, don't be fooled by
plump appearance because he was willing to have sex with an underage
girl. And, he could clearly tell it by the decoy's voice on the
phone that she was a little girl. He is still a dirtbag. He is just a more bloated and broken down
one today. He'll probably be removed from the sex offender list next year.
