Happy Texas

One day, I went up to the local Blockbuster. I was in the mood for some Adam Sandler, so I went to the comedy section and saw that there was a Copy of Happy Gilmore on the shelf. Without looking at the video case behind the Happy Gilmore cover, I rented it. When I took it home, I discovered that I didn’t rent Happy Gilmore, but …Happy Texas.

At first, I was pissed off, and I thought about taking it back to the Blockbuster store. But, laziness set, and I didn’t want to leave the house again.

Happy Texas is about two escaped convicts that steal a mobile trailer. They end up in Happy, Texas, a small backward town. The people think, because of the Mobile home, they’re two beauty pageant coaches, who are gay. Therefore, Steve Zahn and some other guy have to pose as a gay couple.

The movie is not that bad. I laughed a few times during it. The movie is kind of slow in some places, but not enough to put you to asleep. As something I didn’t want to rent, it was an unexpected treat.

Damn you, Blockbuster! Learn how to put the right movie behind the right cover you fool!
