Screech Convicted (Update)  I just wrote about this fool a day ago, now news has come out that he's been convicted. Don't get too happy about it, because they ended up being minor offenses. Random Things ~Well, I'm waiting on the company to approve me for the rideshare program. I had to get my car approved and get my car pictured and uploaded to the service. Amy Schumer - Milk Milk Lemonade Damn it, I love Amy Schumer. She caught my attention when she told a certain story about an encounter with an ugly guy. Lately, YouTube has sent me suggestions for her clips for her TV show. I like her potty humor. It's dirty, but not child-like in that Adam Sandler way. I got a kick out of this video because it is a parody of all those “booty” music videos. While I LOVE the backside of a woman, because I am a black guy, it does sort of make the fudge too. We tend to forget that. I remember reminding some of that fact when they were admiring a booty.   Now, this song is stuck in my head. BTW, I think she's parodying Beez in the Trap for the most part. My other favorite skit.  

Uptown Funk Mark Ronson Ft. Bruno Mars When I mention this is a throwback to the funk songs of the 80s, all the young people look at me with confusion. I keep forgetting funk/pop sort of missed them because they grew up in the 90s. Make no mistake this song is a tribute to Prince and Morris Day and the Time. It has that flashy horn section and that bright sound. I like how the young folks think this Bruno Mars sound is “new”.    Now, the music video is more of a tribute to Michael Jackson. It has the look of those mid 80s videos that MJ used to make. The outfits are clearly 80s right. I love the guy in the suit with no shirt. I remember that being a thing. The music video is just plain cool with its 80's vibe. The song is fun. It's catchy and makes me nod my head. I hear a lot of modern music and I get upset on how bland and stupid it sounds. Sonic Boom, the Sonic 06 of 2014-15? I had no idea the game was this bad. Maybe Chris Chan was right about this game. Anyway, I've never seen the reviews this bad for a Sonic game since Sonic 06. By putting this game on the Wii U, the game is even worst than Sonic 06 in some ways from what I read.  I just started watching the Game Grumps take on the Sonic Boom game.  It reminds me of the old Sonic 06 videos.   The best part is Sega knew the game was shit and refused to give out review copies to gaming sites. It's like when a movie studio doesn't screen a movie for critics. Sorry, but gamers are a little bit more clever than you think they are. Not all the time (all the COD clones), but Sonic is now considered a joke. I think the Generations game was probably the last good game. Sega, you didn't even bother getting rid of the game-breaking glitches and decided to put out an unfinished game. Sega paid the price for this shitty game too...

Brett Domino Trio: 'Chemical Plant Zone' Why do I get the feeling that most of these young ravers have no idea where this song comes from. Keep in mind I had to explain to a young person there WAS a Transformers movie before the Michael Bay films. “What are we dancing to?” “He said something about a Sonic song. Maybe, it's some new dubstep DJ.” BTW, the Sonic Generations classic version is “not” the original. It's been updated a bit. Anyway, the early Sonic games were written by composers into R&B, Pop and Rock. That was one of the reasons I liked Sonic's music over Mario's stuff. Chemical Plant Zone is clearly based on rock and it has a good baseline.

Blade Runner Stuff Blade Runner overview: Oliver Harper goes through the amazing Blade Runner movie. I really can't watch the theatrical version of the movie with the really bad voice over. Harrison Ford's VO work is really-really poorly done and Ford just sleepwalks through it. The Scott and Ford hated the VO work and it doesn't help the movie.  I think both extended versions of the movie are better than the theatrical version. There is a work print out there too, but there was another cut called the “Director's Cut”. Scott didn't have much to do with this “Director's Cut”. He would later do a “Final Cut” in the 2000s and this one is amazing with a few added scenes and some of the loopier things cut out.  I have to disagree with Harper on the score. Vangelis ' score is fairly uninteresting to me. I like the main theme, but it is bit to boring to me. I think a Goldsmith would have made a better choice with a blending of real orch...

 Jem and the Holograms (2015) trailer This is truly-truly stupid. I hate being the neck-bearded geek with the Jem and the Holograms shirt, which is three times too small, but I have to be. This is not Jem and the Holograms. This is some shitty teen drama/comedy with a Justin Bieber origin story. What the f' is this shit? I am a guy, but I watched Jem a few times here and there. It was made by the same people that made GI Joe and Transformers in the 80s. And, the show shares the same universe as those two shows. I am not making this up. I like these cartoon 80s shows. I can't believe I am agreeing with a Mary-Sue post on the subject . It was about female empowerment with whole lot of pushing for kids to buy their shit. I know there are a lot women my age that grew up on Jem and the toys. They were the GI Joes for girls, the ones that didn't like GI Joe. This is what they get as far as a remake?   Rick and Morty: Simpsons Couch Gag Okay, I talk all that shit about the Simpsons in that earlier post and then they do this clever crossover. Damn it, you proved me wrong. There is some steam still left in the show after all. T here have been some amusing couch gags on the show , but I really like this one the most. I only know of Rick and Morty from a side glance because I know Dan Harmon co-created and works on the show. This couch gag is giving promotion to another show on another network . And, that's cool, even while they kill off the family. Networks can get very personal on who they crossover with. Here's how the crossover came about . Two Women arrested for robbing a 7-11...and they are prison officers While I believe there is some positive stuff to come out the riots, there is a lot terrible things to come out it though, such as ghetto assholes looting stores and poking holes in fire-hoses. Wait, Harry Shearer leaves The Simpsons Look, I don't watch the show anymore. However, I kind of figured he was on the outs when he didn't reprise his role for the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover. While I hate Nancy Cartwright, I always got the feeling that Shearer was the one that was the most difficult to work with on the show. And, as Matt said, I get the feeling at 70 he just doesn't give a shit anymore. I'm nearing a milestone myself and I find myself not caring about anything.  It seems like it could have been about money , but I am guessing it has more to do with being tired of doing the show. I could be wrong. Doing the same thing over and over again can get tiresome. I personally think the show has run its course and needs to end. FOX loves reliving its past glory by digging up old shows and bringing back, so keeping this dinosaur on the air seems like a FOX move to me. There are two April O'Neil Folk I guess someone caught the original live action April O’Neil ( Judith Hoag ) on the set of the second Teen Age Mutant Turtles movie. I'm guessing she is either playing a rival to April O'Neil or a boss. IMDB doesn't have her character name listed . Hoag is looking pretty good today. 

Random Things ~Bums and Homeless: I went to my uncle's funeral and parked downtown on Broadway. I got bothered by three bums on different encounters. I am not in the best state of mind and having these guys bothering me doesn't help. Well, the last bum, which I don't think was homeless, really overstepped his boundaries. He approached me after the funeral while I was trying to help my mother with her car, and he kept getting closer and closer trying to get money off of me. He was a white guy with a large stick and beard, and he was not a member of the Lord of the Rings. I kept telling him I wasn't going to give him any money and he kept bothering me. He even said he was injured and couldn’t work and kept trying. At one point to stop from hitting him, I just ignored him and got in my car as he kept yapping on and drove off. Chris Brown has a stalker… I hate Chris Brown and he is a horrible person, but this story is just too crazy to ignore. Basically, a woman showed up at Chris Brown's house, jumped the fence and broke into his house.
