STAR TREK III: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK:Was "Woman In Cafeteria" Janice Rand?

A person and I disagreed over a certain cameo in Star Trek III. Was Janice Rand in Star Trek III?   When I was a child, my mother and father pointed out that the woman within the Spacedock scene watching the Enterprise enter was Janice Rand.  In the credits, she is listed as “Woman in Cafeteria”.  The late Grace Lee Whitney is playing the woman in a Star Fleet uniform.  Director Nimoy added her to the scene because he wanted to include her, and she showed up in his IV.  I think Nimoy felt bad for the way Hollywood treated her.  

Anyway, since that moment, I always felt it was Rand.  But, I had no idea some fans didn’t believe it was her.  Whitney is just playing another character.  For me, I believe it is Rand.  If you look closely, “Woman in Cafeteria” gives a disapproving look and shakes her.  The head shakes and her expression says, “There they go again” as she looks at the damage.  Rand was in battle aboard the Enterprise, so she knows its reputation.  

Now, her rank is all over the place in the movies.  She was a commissioned officer in the show and TMP, but her appearance in III shows she is an officer.  However, she wears a noncom uniform in IV.  Yet, she is a high-ranking officer in VI.  

Side Note:  I’ve been looking at old photos of Whitney and her post-TOS days.  After cleaning herself up and getting more close to fans, she seemed happier.  She hated her experience during the filming of TOS but loved the Trek universe.  She even came back to Voyager with a larger role.  Google her convention photos. She loved how kind the fans were.

The not so Mighty Zoe Quinn

Just think: GG would have died on the vine if she hadn't made a false copyright claim.  

I went through Zoe Quinn’s KF with GG being ten years old.  Since her grift on GG, she keeps stumbling upward and downward.  She had an anti-harassment site, which she lost interest in and abandoned.  She decided to become a professional wrestler, realizing the hard work, lost interest in it and abandoned it.  

Furthermore, she got 85K to do a stupid FWV videogame based on some Chuck Tingle books.  Get this, she lost interest and abandoned it.  She hasn’t even bothered to log into her Kickstarter account since Feb 27, 2021.  So, yeah, 85K for a project that went nowhere.  You have to love the irony that her backers were some of her defenders during GG and have been thrown aside.  I won’t get into Alec Holowka’s suicide, but she was involved in that too.  

Given her post-GG history, Zoe has done more damage than even GG could imagine.  It is like she is one blue-haired tornado campaign of hate.  She was a carpetbagger who duped some people out of money, and no one from her side would take her to task for it.  

She's burned more bridges than a retreating army.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle DVD Menu

These two are breaking that fourth wall.  Remember, Harold and Kumar Go To White Castles is twenty years old.  I remember watching this menu screen thing way back in the day.  A lot of DVDs will have hidden things like this one.  I love how Kumar gets angry with you if you don’t hit something. 

In the Mummy DVD, the original release, you can hear the entire Jerry Goldsmith score in the menu screen of the listening options.  

I also like the Zoolander DVD menu too.  Zoolander will talk to you during the menu sequence.   Mugatu’s dance will change if you let it run through the cycle.  His dances are sillier in the second round.  Did Will Ferrell film these just for the DVD? His dancing is in step with the music on the menu.  

Ohio Cop Sparta Kicks Suspect: This is Sparta Ohio

Well, this is “actually” Sparta, Ohio.  I’ve been waiting for this meme to come to life with an actual Sparta kick.  While I don’t care about the political bullshit, the Sparta officer is being investigated for this Greek kick.  The comments are amusing.  

It happened, the meme has become life.  

Neverending Story Gmork Scene Extended

The first thing I noticed about this scene cut is that Gmork's voice is different.  It has a raspier voice in the German cut.  The international version has a stronger voice.  

Depending on which cut you watch, you may get different iterations of the creature.  In the German cut, you almost feel sorry for him.  The Gmork reveals that The Nothing has drained most of his power, and he has just enough to attack.  The Nothing has used Gmork.  The international cut, has him being more pure evil and shady, hiding in the shadows.  

The “leave me alone” is not in the International version.  It shows that he is weakened.  

Both versions of the Gmork are a representation of depression and despair.  I love that it recognizes that taking away hope and imagination means it can control people.  As a child, some of these deeper concepts fly over your head.  

Dr. Dre Beats but they're MEDIEVAL

What if Dr. Dre’s songs were written in medieval times?  It would sound like this.  I love this because many of Dre’s beats are from India and the Middle East. My favorite is California Love it kicks ass.

OLYMPICS Fail: Breaking Break Dancing.

Why does the song I Can’t Dance come to mind? Again, I am not into Ompyltics stuff, but this had to be mentioned by me because it is so cringe-worthy.  This woman entered the breakdance competition and won zero points, but won a medal in the memes. 

I love her expression of pride in every picture.  

Look here, I can’t dance or do anything worthwhile, but I know my limits.  It seems in this “you’re all special” world that people that don’t even bother working their asses off in their crat can make it.  You have to work hard to get to the big leagues.  This is not it.  

You have reached mega-meme status when late-night shows are dunking on you.  She embarrassed herself and made me laugh.  Now, we’re getting the side effects with all the old 2014 SJW shit with some people sweeping and defending her.  Just laugh, meme, and move on.  

TNG The Game: A modern day rant

Not to be confused with HHH or the Micheal Douglass movie The Game.

While on that subject, it reminds me of all the young people who are buried in the phone screen and ignore everything around them. They walk around playing mindless shitty phone games that don’t matter or not even fun. The TNG episode The Game has the entire crew staring into a VR set playing a stupid game.  Now, go to the mall and watch everyone buried in their phones.   I’ve seen couples ignore each other while they farted around their overpriced machine.  I got an old Android phone that I only use for work and research on my blog and pop culture subjects.  

An alien woman uses the game to set suggestions in the minds of the crew to control them.  The game is just a honeypot.  Star Trek was ahead of its time.

Patti Yasutake Star Trek RIP

I just found out that Patti Yasutake passed away a few days ago.  It is interesting because many Trek reaction channels are getting to her episode debut on TNG.  Patti played the popular character Nurse Alyssa Ogawa.  She was also up for the role of Keiko O'Brien, but that didn’t happen.  She was also by Dr. Crusher’s side during her five years and two movie appearances. Her biggest role was in the fan-favorite Lower Decks.  I am surprised the Lower Decks TV show didn’t bring her back.  

Not only that, but she had some major and sometimes funny moments. Remember her scene in The Game?  She was in countless movies and films.  Her TV career blew up in the early 2000s.  Heck, she was even in the horrible Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.  I would have loved to have talked to her about the BTS stuff there.  She was even in BioShock: Infinite as a VO actress.  

She died from T-cell lymphoma which is a form of cancer.  It isn’t good and can form and grow fast.  That is probably what happened to her.  She died at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center.  She will be missed.

SUCCULENT CHINESE MEAL MAN HAS PASSED AWAY

This is the first I have heard of this guy.  He was a dude that just passed me by.  The meme never crossed my path.  That is strange, given I love Chinese food.  This happened in 1991, and it was over a guy who was known as Dine and Dash criminal.  It became famous in 2009 when it was posted on YT.  Why did I miss this meme?  

Anyway, he passed away recently and it finally crossed my path.  

By the way, I would never use the word “Succulent” in any manner that involves food.  It has too many sexual sounds for me. 

Yeji Kim Word?

Why am I turned on by this lady shooting a gun?  It is like Kim Yeji was born with a pistol in her hand.  I don’t care about the Olympics, but YT suggested this fine-ass woman.  Always date a woman who can handle a gun, because she will have your back.  Just don’t piss her off.  

I don’t follow sports, but Yeji won the silver in this year’s Olympics sports shooting competition.  She reached meme status due to her cool reactions.  I love the term "main character energy" term.

ALF Child Star Benji Gregory Dead at 46

Let’s face it; ALF wasn’t a good TV show.  Even now, YouTube is streaming the entire show for free, and I can even bother sitting through one episode.  Even through rose-colored glasses, the show is bad and unfunny.  However, I just learned that the youngest star from that show passed away recently.  And, it is even crazier to discover that he was only a few years younger than me.  Benji Gregory died from a heat stroke inside his car alongside his service dog.  

After ALF ended, Benji worked in Hollywood for only three more years and stopped acting.  I don’t blame him.  Acting can be damaging.  He joined the Navy and served as an Aerographer's mate on a ship.  I had to look it up.  It is a job where you observe and study conditions at sea, both under and above the boat.   Since I am a fool, I could not have done it.  I take it his health was failing and he left the military.  

I didn’t think the youngest one from that show would die so soon. 

Tcap Eric Thornton Dead

Did I just write a story about a predator dying a few weeks ago?  Well, thank your lucky stars, another famous predator died recently.  The living ape Eric Thorton.  Thorton is a piece of shit, just like the rest of the TCAP fiends.  However, I like his goofy look and stupid voice.  It is as if he was the living embodiment of a predator.  

Did I mention he drove over four hours to meet this decoy?  Thorton would spend nearly two years in prison and received a shoutout on the RSO listings.  The big-eared predator lived in the famous Predator trailer park.  Thorton had a TikTok account, which is creepy because young people use the app, but his account was banned.  He would die in a major car crash due to his swerving into another lane.  He died at the scene.  

Given that he veered into the path of the F-150, I surmised he did it on purpose.  He wanted to end it all. That is my opinion, so don't sue me sister to Eric. He had no kids, thankfully, and no girlfriend.  He was pretty much shit and he did videos on taking in stray cats and trying to be a boy toy. So, his legacy is TCAP and cats.  He won’t be missed.  Who is next?

1st Music video from North Korea: It is kind of lame

I wrote about this seven years ago.  It is just as cringe.  As much as I would like a lame music video to solve all the world’s problems, this won’t make a difference.  As much as I hate Trump, he did make some leeway with North Korea.  However, I still wench every time I see the NK FunForLouis videos.  They are propaganda, even if he doesn't know it.  It is tricky to do a propaganda series for a pretty horrible state.  

Can, there be peace between South and North Korea?  I want to believe so, but it will all end in blood and fire.  

Anyway, FunForLouis is still going on with his channel, and more power to him.  Does he regret his visit to NK? 

Adriana TRIED to QUIT biz...

I love this girl.  She got me with her red nose and watery eyes.  Usually, pornstars come to a point when they do start to regret their porn past and want to hang it up.  Despite her skills under the sheets, she is a good actress.  

Adriana Chechik had a serious injury back during the TwitchCon even and broke her back.  I would probably get pissed just because I was at TwitchCon instead of being out for over a couple of years.  

Damn, she looks good, or I’ve been single too long. 

Alec Baldwin case dismissed by judge in New Mexico

The court has thrown out Alec Baldwin’s criminal case with prejudice.  That means they can not bring that up again.  As much as I hate Baldwin and his attitude.  I don’t believe there should have been criminal charges against him.  It was a complete accident and only the armoror needed to be held responsible.  He did pull the trigger, but I don’t believe a jury would convict him.  

He will get sued out of his ass though…

Michael Warrecker: Coroner Report and trolls

It looks like Mike died from a heart attack or heart failure.  From the reports, he started having issues with his heart but ignored it.  He died in his sleep.  So, he was still eating junk food like he was still in his 20s, which did him in.  He was one of the nastier predators in the show, so I can’t say I will miss him.  

Interestingly, most of these predators are dying some 20 years later.  

TCAP Mike Warrecker 3/22/77 - 6/22/24. Can I die forever-ally

Man, these TCAP predators are dropping like flies.  It will be the 20th anniversary of To Catch a Predator.  Many of the people were caught and arrested in these old stings.  Some have ended up back in jail, some are still refusing to move forward, and others have died.  

Well, we got another one.  

Michael Warrecker was one of those guys who still dressed like it was the early 90s and had an extreme hairstyle.  I am certain he owned a few NWO and Degeneration X shirts.  He was that loser who got too close to the convention booth babes.  Anyway, Warrecker was the guy that had the screen name can_i_rape_you_anally.  With a screen name like that, just put him on an FBI and RSO list.  Not even a pornstar would approach you with that screen name.  

Instead of just saving some money he had from inheritance, he just sat on his ass for a year doing nothing but scrounge for minors online.  That was when he fell into Chris Hansen’s web with his creepy name.  Warrecker wanted to do some terrible things to the decoy.  I won’t even mention them here.  

Warrecker got off very lightly thanks to the CA laws at the time.  Spending only a quarter in jail, he pleaded out and got a lifetime RSO.  Before his death, he lost a lot of weight and hair.  Was this because of his unknown illness?  

For shits and giggles, some TCAP fans left some references to TCAP in the comments of his legacy page. My favorite one is the screen name “CanIMournYouDigitally”.  The world is a better place with him.  

I may have to do a follow-up on his legacy page, damn.  

Nicholas Brutcher: Bring in the sandman

I don't believe in a heaven or hell, but I almost wish there was a hell for this POS.

There comes a point when you’re looking for trouble that it will come to bite you in the ass even harder.  This guy is like a failing Twitch streamer who doesn't realize he will never make it.  He failed at being a family man, comedian, drunk, and even a gay guy.  

The gay doesn’t matter, but he kept deleting and reinstalling the gay hookup app.  

This loser got into a fight at a bar, and cops called.  He gets pulled over and receives a few tickets.  During the stop, Nicholas Brutcher kept trying to push the police into a confrontation. When he didn’t get his way, the plump man-baby walked away.  A few hours later, he set up this false 911 call to ambush the responding officer.  He ended up shooting all three, killing two, and shooting their bodies after they had fallen.  Amazingly, the injured third cop got away and swung back around and shot Brutcher right in the head with one shot, while injured.  

BTW, that crying you hear is his mother.  She got to witness her son take out some people before someone else took him out.  

Brutcher, what was the punchline?  You’re a failure?

THE DR DISRESPECT poop

And, I thought Nick Rekieta was the worst father in the world.  Dr. Disrespect has f’ed up, really f’ed up.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone fall faster and harder than Dr Disrespect and his issues.  Mr. Disrespect was caught sending messages to a minor via a dropped messing program on Twitch.  This is the reason Twitch fired him live on stream nearly 4 years ago

Why did Twitch hold onto this information for nearly 4 years?  Why did they pay the money to Dr Disrespect?  Despite him doing something bad, were they allowed to read the private messages of their users?  Did the Doc not believe these stories wouldn’t come to light?  

You can see the Doc have a meltdown live on stream as the news of his ban became final.  He also did a similar meltdown on his recent stream when the news came out that his VG company booted him.  

Anyway, it is a real shame that someone would throw away everything just to talk to someone illegally.  Divorce your wife, bang all the legal-age women you want, and soak in more millions.  You don’t want to be with your wife any longer, and stop trying to pick up minors for “dates”. 

Man Armed With 2 Swords lost

Don't bring a sword to a gunfight if you are not a ninja or samurai.  This guy brought out some swords as if it were the 1600s.  When I saw the double-welding swords dude, I thought of him as a loser version of Leonardo.  

Of course, this guy died from his wounds.  

The Power of One the Power of Two the Power of Many scene Crap

The power of many! Okay.  

This is Star Wars now.  It has been reduced to a group of witches singing badly in a hippie group.  SW isn’t for me anymore, and I am glad I walked away from the franchise.  For every Clone Wars or Rebels, we get this shit.  I enjoyed The Force Awakens despite some of its flaws.  However, things have been hit or miss.  

Keep in mind, that I walked away from Star Trek Discovery after the first season as well.  It is not written for me. 

Star Trek TOS Theme: The lyrics...Part 2 of 2

Sneaky Gene Roddenberry went behind composer Alexander Courage’s back and took hold of the copy of the master sheet music.  Courage wrote the theme as just a melodic theme, with voices singing behind the main theme.  Roddenberry hap-dashed a bunch of random words together and wrote a bunch of lyrics into the sheet music below the notes.  Given that Gene was never a poet or a lyricist, the words and syllables don’t fit with the theme.   Lyricists have to work with the composer and musicians for it all to make sense.  Gene wasn’t interested in that, though.  

Gene wanted to make money on the sideways.  With him typing his name on the sheet music, legally, he helped “compose” the theme song to Star Trek The Original Series.  Despite doing nothing to help write the music, Gene now shared the royalty rights with Courage.  When Courage learned of this betrayal, he was upset about the manner Roddenberry stole some of his money from him.  It is a slap in the face of every composer and lyricist.  Courage didn’t take legal action against Gene, and some said he couldn’t because his contract allowed Gene to “add something”.  That second part I can’t confirm.  

Courage did confront Gene.  Thanks to this site and Snopes, we have this famous answer back to the irate Courage.  ((“Hey, I have to get some money somewhere. I’m sure not going to get it out of the profits of Star Trek.”)) Yeah, by taking away money on something you had no business stealing from, Gene.  He would do these horrible things when confronted, sheepishly attempting to do it after the fact.  

Courage would compose a few more tracks for the first season, which they would reuse throughout the rest of the season.  However, he was upset with Gene’s behavior.  He left Trek for the second season.  He would return for the third season, which by that point wasn’t under Gene’s command. Getting bored and tired of the struggles of day-to-day work, Roddenberry checked out by the end of the second season.

Star Trek TOS Theme: The lyrics...Part 1 of 2

Did you know that the theme song for Star Trek TOS has lyrics?  I wrote about this years ago, but I wanted to bring up this interesting story again.  After telling a younger coworker about the story, I thought about redoing the tale behind the TOS theme song controversy.  Due to how interesting the story is, I will be breaking this up.  

I need to talk about the sheer shitty behavior of Gene Roddenberry.  Gene was an idealistic man who did believe in humanity, but Gene wasn’t that idealistic person in real life.  He screwed over a lot of people in his lifetime.  He was more like his creation, the Ferengi than he would admit.  Gene, while loyal to his friends, wasn’t a good person.  Back in the day, some people protected the image of Gene Roddenberry and didn’t bring up the darker sides of the man.  

Alexander Courage, a pipe-chomping film and movie composer, wrote the theme for Trek.  The song was inspired by the song Beyond the Blue Horizon by Richard Whiting, no not the abbot from the 1400s.  When you listen to it, you can tell that through the fast-moving backing music.  I can hear it now.  

I should add that Gene wanted Jerry Goldsmith to compose the theme for Star Trek, but he was unavailable.  Goldsmith suggested Courage.  

There are different versions of the TOS theme song depending on the season and episode.  Sometimes, there are vocals, without lyrics, that show up in the theme.  Some early episodes don’t have it.  They recorded the theme for the remastered version years later.  

During the first pilot, Courage wrote the theme and provided the “shoosh” sound for the Enterprise zipping by the screen.  Yep, that sound is of the composer just making up a sound for a warping starship.  Anyway, Gene, who was mad he wasn’t getting as much money for creating Trek, got wind of Courage getting royalties for writing the theme.  Like the Ferengi, he came up with a devious plan to screw over Courage and make some money.  

Gene could smell the money in music rights…

Previously On X-Men: What the hell was that?

The poor animation and bad lip-syncing are the best.  I am not sure why Iceman is running around in his underwear.  Someone give homeboy some pants.  Why are they burying mannequins under a pillar of ice?  What happens when it melts?  Why is Iceman running like he has poop in his pants?

Doc Brown cameo in A Million Ways To Die In The West (HD)

I love these tiny cameos from other movies.  Given that marketing for this movie gave away the cameo in TV ads and trailers, the joke doesn’t come across as a shocking surprise.  What is even cooler, which someone noticed, Mr. Fusion is sitting on the side by the air vents of the DeLorean car.  It is the 2015 model. If you want to get even nerdier, the setting of this movie happened a few years before 1885. So, an older Doc ran into some trouble and got stuck a few years before his 1985 self got stuck there in 1885. Or, this is just a funny cameo.

The BTTF theme playing at the end is a nice touch.  

BTW, IMDB is reporting that the DeLorean in this scene is Seth MacFarlane’s custom-built car.  He just brought it in for the movie.  If I were a millionaire, I’d get one and Kitt and the A-Team van. 

Lady Rackets two years ago.

I swear the Al-G Rhythm for YouTube is unkind, trolling, and funny.  I was doing a completely different search and an old video from Internet clown Nick Rekieta came up from two years ago.  It is a video of a healthier version of his loving wife giving a healthy Nick a gift.  Despite being awkward, you can tell his wife loves him.  Flash forward to their pale and skinny appearances now.  

Time is unkind to people.

Nick Rekieta has f'ed up

Who has fallen harder, Daniel Larson or Nick Rekieta?

When I noticed the changes in Nick, the skinny weight and pale skin, I knew he was on something.  You don’t make these drastic changes unless you’re on some serious shit.  

After the Weeb Wars, I sort of stopped watching and moved on to other YT lawyers.  I noticed that he changed his views from being a centrist to a racist MAGA supporter. As he got more into booze, he started to get into the swinger communities.  He even took on a younger, hotter version of his wife in the form of a live-in girlfriend.  

Just because you idolize Trump now, doesn’t mean you can act like him.  You can not go around banging pornstars and still have a wife and kids…like Trump.  

Now, none of this matters because you put your children in danger.  Having cocaine and guns lying around in a dirty house is unforgivable.  This is all happening as he is drugged up having sex with a woman who is not his wife.  

It is fine to ruin your own life, but not to destroy your children’s lives as well.  Stupid, just stupid.  

Can he be forgiven for this horrible thing? 

DIDDY got beats? F', you Puff Daddy

P Diidy is a monster.  I used to like some of his music, but I liked some of the artists he was associated with more.  Then, the show Making Da Band came out and showed how much of an asshole he was.  Diddy pissed and ripped off a lot of people.  And, there is still talk that he had a connection in 2Pac’s murder.  

He beat this woman down like she was a man.  He kicked and threw things at her like a pimp would.  If I saw this in the hallway, Diddy wouldn’t be able to walk.  

People forget that Diddy beat up Nas’ manager Steve Stoute because Diddy had problems with a music video.  Hate Me Now used depictions of Jesus that Combs originally agreed to, but got upset when MTV showed the Jesus version.  He busted into Stoute’s office, with some help, and beat up the dude.  

Now, this guy makes an apology and throws around the word of God.  Sorry, Puffy, it is too late.

I think the Feds got him too, and it is only a matter of time before that federal hammer is coming down.    

Peter Coffin. WTF?

Remember, this was the guy who allegedly faked his own girlfriend to get back at a blogger.  I hate this guy.  When the winds of politics change, Peter Coffin will shift with it.

Peter Coffin is an interesting idiot.  He’s been on the internet just as long as I have.  Coffin shuffles in and out of different groups over the years.  He’s been a reality star wannabe to an Internet comedian.  Neither of those were successful.  When GamerGate came out, he morphed into an SJW comedian and cozied up to the Queen of GG Zoe Quinn.  Later, after his divorce from his mail-ordered bride, he went full communist and pissed off the woke left.  

Today, he’s shifted his beliefs to being GG-neutral.  Given the many faces of Coffin, I don’t buy this shift. Just like how Brianna Wu has shifted to center-left.  She was willing to piggyback on Zoe and Anita when GG was hot, but now she is too right to be an ally.  

I like that he's attacked the game journos today and mocks MovieBob. When even Peter Coffin can throw shade on you, you are a loser.

I don’t buy it, Peter.  You’re still beta as fuck. 

Herschel "Boris" Weingrod in 720p

I don’t like some of the predator catchers in this video, but they caught someone just as bad.  One of the guys is the one who was on a drug-fueled binge and attacked a random woman.  Evil can only defeat evil.  

I can’t understand why these people want to chat with young girls.  Another Hollywood guy is allegedly caught trying to creep on a teenage girl, a decoy.  Some dude-bros show up, and he shrinks to a little old man.  

Did I mention that he’s 76?  

This entitled Rich Prick was a writer of some of my favorite movies growing up.  I just never noticed his name.  He wrote Twins, Brewster’s Millions, Trading Places, and Space Jam.  Now, he is also known for showing up in new media…some predator catchers.  

From a certain point of view, there are people actively trying to cover up his incident.  Something tells me he is having someone attempt to scrub the interest of his misdeeds.  You have to go back and check out the comments in his older videos thanks to the allegations.  This video has some of the best comments post sting.  Here is a ten-year-old proposal video from him, and the new comments are wonderful.
