The Real Ghostbusters (original pilot) I fondly remembered watching the old show back in the day. Watching the show now, I am impressed how well it holds up. The show went on for 7 seasons, and that's not including the Slimer spinoff show. And, the show had a direct sequel called Extreme Ghostbusters. While doing some digging on the show, I read that there was a 4-min pilot made for the show. That's when I found this... Notes about this pilot -Slimer is designed completely different from TV show. Here in the pilot Slimer is drawn like they designed him in the movies. Plus, he's evil. -Watch for the crowd shot at the beginning. If you look closely, there is a young boy and an old man. When everyone freaks out over the dancing ghost, you will see the old man jump into the boy's arms. The boy carries the old man away! -The dancing ghost is in the actual TV intro. Random Things ~While riding my bicycle, I was nearly run over by a damn mini-van. I was at a stop sign and a van with two women in it made a wide turn onto the same street and nearly mowed me down. I know someone will probably hit me, I just don't want to be taken out by a damn mini-van. I hate those things. Adidas Originals: Star Wars Cantina 2010 Wow, they really pulled of the feel of “A New Hope” with this ad. Now, this is the way to sell a product. Daft Punk seems to fit right in with the movie. Hell, GL could throw them right into one of the movies and no one would notice. I also liked the Snoop Dogg bit. Other than the Clone Wars series, this is probably the best thing Lucas has put out in years. “He doesn’t like you. I don’t like you either.” “No blasters, no blasters.”

On a serious note… Police officer punches 17-year-old girl : Basically, this whole thing was over a stupid jaywalking incident. Way to protect the world from Jaywalkers, Seattle Police. Since Seattle is devoid of almost all crime, it is refreshing to see that they've zeroed in on the last crime...jaywalking. (I'm being glib) I want the rest of the world to learn from Seattle’s crime stopping tactics, so we can all feel safe just like Seattle. This goes back to my rant about cops actually preventing real crimes like gang wars, rape, and robberies instead of traffic stops and jaywalking. Well, preventing crime doesn't give money to the government, ticketing and fining your population will. It probably takes more money catching/prosecuting/jailing a suspect than giving someone a chicken shit ticket. Should the girl have touched the cop? Space Raiders-Song for Dot (SSX) I remember hearing this song on SSX and enjoyed the catchy beat and the voice sample toward the middle of the song. I remember thinking, “That’s sounds like Fats Domino they’re sampling”. It looks like I was right. I just discovered that the structure of this Space Raiders song is based off a Fats Domino song called “There Goes My Heart Again”.

Best Tekken Tag Tournament song? Xiaoyu Stage Theme I love this song. It has a groovy 70’s disco vibe to it. I always find myself bopping my head every time I play this stage. If you listen to voice in the song, you really can’t tell exactly what he’s saying. Is it “Are you listening to me?” Namco also released a TTT remix of the song called Xiaoyu VS BKO. True Blood starts out with a bang (so to speak) (Bad Blood) Wow, they really crammed a lot into the season 3 opener. I’ve said time and time again that this is the way to adapt a vampire book series. I always felt True Blood was adult answer to the Twilight franchise. Sookie Stackhouse is more of an active character than Bella any day. She actually stands up to Vampires. ~Biker Gang Werewolves: I enjoyed watching these guys yell and act like crazy bikers after kidnapping Bill. ~Eric can have sex for six hours straight?: I guess some vampires have that ability to have sex with a stripper up that long. ~Even Vampire Queens are afraid of the IRS!: The whole the Vampire Queen is in the “V” trade is because she’s broke and the IRS is after her. The A-Team (Review 1 of 2) Totally foolish and fun, The A-Team is a fun remake that pays tribute to the old 80s TV show. The A-Team is surprisingly better than I could have imagined. The movie does have a few flaws, but it is still a fun goofy movie that pays tribute to the 80s show. Just go in the damn movie with the mindset of your childhood self. The Story (and Update) The smartest thing they did with the movie was to update the background story behind the A-Team. Instead of being charged for a crime they didn’t commit in Vietnam, the writers updated it to the current Iraq War. This suits the story much more given the current stuff going on in Iraq. The story also goes after all the private security forces in Iraq. Heck, the movie makes them the bad guys. (They’re just like the Blackwater people.) For a summer popcorn movie, there are some interesting twists in the story, which I saw coming, but still enjoyed them. There are also multiple villains going...

Beowulf (Main Title versions) I really enjoyed the movie Beowulf that came out a few years ago, but what really stood out was the music by Alan Silvestri. The score was epic and made the movie better. I remember getting the album and noticing that track one (Main Titles) was a little different than the one used in the movie. Album Version Film Version The Film version uses a heavier guitar riff and there is a strong Heart Beat rhythm at the beginning that’s not in the album version. I believe the men chanting is the same, but the guitar stuff is completely different. I’m not sure why they didn’t just use the film version on the soundtrack, but it is better than the one on the album.
