While I’m more of a modern Trek fan (DS9 TNG), I am really looking forward to this enhanced version of the show. ~The opening is getting a makeover, with a new recording of the theme song (Note: The first season didn’t have the woman singing with the theme, but now that’s been changed.) ~Shatner’s hairpiece gets a CGI makeover and his poor acting improved, okay I made those up. With JJ Abrams taking over the movie series and the remastered TOS, I’m hopping this will be a stringboard for a new group of creators to produce a new TV series. For the hell of it, I decided to look up the intros to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The original intro http://youtube.com/watch?v=yntAFecYr2A This is the uncut intro that was only shown during the first episode of the show. You will notice that this intro has extra rap verses in the song, and don’t forget that this one has the Airplane scene. (Also, the same clothes he wears in this intro are the same ones he has in the pilot episode.) But then again, I could be wrong (( Now, the next Spider-Man film features Peter in the black costume. Was the impetus for moving Spidey into the black costume based solely on the film? For the most cynical fans out there who'll say Marvel wants Spider-Man in the black costume because of the movie, they're only 10% right. The beauty is we knew 16 months ago as we were planning out the thrust of "Civil War" and beyond, how all of this laid out beautifully for us to move into the future. The Extended ending to Star Trek Nemesis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xxg_DFAtBsE&NR Someone edited the deleted scenes back into the movie’s ending. It’s done extremely well. The most notable scene is the one with Worf and La Forge packing all of Data’s things away, and we see Spot become Worf’s pet. It’s a touching scene that reminds me of the episode Most Toys . It’s something family members have to do when they lose a loved one. (What did Geordi pick up and smile about on Data’s desk? His emotion chip?) The other scene worth discussing is Dr. Crusher’s send off, with her conversation with Picard in his ready room. All her scenes were deleted from the movie (Note: actually most of her scenes from the entire TNG movie series have been deleted.) Someone in Paramount doesn’t like Gates McFadden , because not only did she get fired after the first season of TNG, but nearly all of her scenes in The Hunt for the Red October were cut as well. I’m sure the footage of the three villains killing a young child will not be included with the DVD, because, for one it was Lester’s deleted footage, and two it was pretty harsh to kill a young kid with a police light. (The giant villain that doesn’t talk throws a police light at the child and the child and the horse explode!) The trailer shows Superman getting thrown into the Statue of Liberty, I’m almost sure that wasn’t in the theater cut. Plus, we have the famous deleted Brando footage reinstated. It would appear that Donner’s version of Superman II was more serious and the relationship between Lois and Clark more mature. (The fact that Superman doesn’t wipe Lois’ mind).

I finally got an update from http://www.technorati.com/ I’d like to thank MC for introducing me to the site; I’ve found a lot of cool things there. In some ways, it’s better than some of the traffic exchanges. I still like Blogmad, though.

Random Thoughts ~If there is one thing that I will miss it’s summertime ! ~Well, I’m nearly done with Second Season of Arrested Development . So, I’ll be on the shorter third season next weekend. Damn funny show. Numa Man Returns http://youtube.com/watch?v=3gg5LOd_Zus This must be one of the sighs of Judgment Day, because The Numa-Numa dude has returned. The guy came out of self-exile to begin making videos again. This time the video has slightly higher production values and a new Numa song. Somehow, in a Leonard Part 6 sort of way, the video is entertaining. I found myself bopping my head to the beat, and then I realized what I was doing and promptly slapped myself out of it. I loved the already oversized Brolsma heads floating through the video.
