The Vice Guide to North Korea: I saw this linked at TMB. You have see this mini-documentary. It is definitely eye-opening.

North Korea is such an Isolated place that it isn’t easy to get inside. These folks found a way inside with their camera. What they see is a little shocking…

~Hotels that are nearly empty

~ A lot of fake smiles and happy faces from the people that work from the government

~It’s as if everyone there is putting on a show.

~There is an almost religious view of their leader Kim Jong-il and his father. You can’t stand in front of an image of Jong-il if you’re taking a picture.

~You have to check out the library scene. Freaking amazing

~During their visit, there is no sight of the thousands starving and dying anywhere

~One of the loose places in actually the check points, where on the other side the American/South Korean check points are very restrictive. (You can't point at a North Korean soldier on the South Korean side.)

Shannon Fill:   Where is she now? SF has been reviewing TNG seasons o ver at his blog. And, the episode Lower Decks came up. I recently watched Lower Decks on Net-flicks and found myself amazed with the performance from the young and lovely Shannon Fill , who played the character Ensign Sito Jaxa. Jaxa showed up in two episodes of TNG, actually they were two important episodes.   There was a nice arc to her character too.   Her character was killed off in Lower Decks , but there were plans to bring her back for an episode of DS9. From Memory Alpha , ((One story considered by the writing staff concerned the return of  Sito Jaxa  from  TNG : " Lower Decks ". I’ve written about some messed up things in my time as a blogger, but this story might just top the cake.  And, I mean really.  If you are offended by porn and the porn industry, don’t read this blog.  However, this might be one of the strangest and creepiest things I’ve seen and read about.  It just seems so wrong... Bernie Mac is Dead A bit of upsetting news... ((CHICAGO (AP) — Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who teamed up in the casino heist caper "Ocean's Eleven" and gained a prestigious Peabody Award for his sitcom "The Bernie Mac Show," died Saturday at age 50. )) I remember watching him on Def Comedy Jam , where he really broke out. If you get a chance, check out some of his earlier work on that show. I think he was able to really shine in some of the roles he took in his movie career. He seemed to always play the creepy guy that wore bad clothes and talk in strange patterns. Friday : He was great in this limited role. He played Pastor Clever, the horny Pastor.
