Sam: “Look Mr. Fordo, Fans.”

Comment: here’s a link to movie clips about Lord of the Ring fans. Think trekkies but not as strange. Oddly enough, I thought I saw a Klingon in the trailer. What happen did he get lost and took a wrong turn? I wonder if there are in Orcs in a Trekkie convention somewhere…

People think SW and trek fans are crazy, but some of these LOTR fans are even crazier. I had one attack me in a chat room once.

Wil Wheaton is my blog twin. Dude WTF?

Your Inner Child Is Sad

You're a very sensitive soul.
You haven't grown that thick skin that most adults have.
Easily hurt, you tend to retreat to your comfort zone.
You don't let many people in - unless you've trusted them for a long time.
How Is Your Inner Child?
Uh, this is me right on the money. Anyone that knows me in person can tell you this. Wow, now I think I need therapy right now at this moment.
The last part is 100% me, for sure.

Dance, Dance, fall

Because, I can’t get enough. Here is CNN’s version of that Latin Singer’s Big Misstep.
http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Music/11/16/people.singerinjured.ap/index.html

Comment: this video is longer than the one before. Thank you CNN.com

((The Houston Chronicle reported that Gabriel broke his wrist and suffered a concussion. Witnesses said the singer appear to trip on the microphone cord.))

CNN reports that he tripped over his own feet.

~Okay, I’ve learned my lesson on energy drinks. Don’t take too many.

~Bill O’Reilly stated. ((I’m glad the smear sites made a big deal out of it. Now we can all know who was with the anti-military internet crowd. We’ll post the names of all who support the smear merchants on billoreilly.com. So check with us.))

I really want to be on his hit list, not that I hate Bill O’Reilly, but because I would mind getting some strange Comments, calling me Anti-American or something. I even agree with some things O’Reilly has to say, not all though.

Ruthless Reviews went a step further and sent O’Reilly an email I found it funny. Here http://ruthlessreviews.com/rants/jonny/blacklist.html

~Someone from work decided he wanted to go to the military. He chose the Air Force. He went through the basic physical tests and the testing, which he scored pretty high. He went through all this and then backed out. Why? Because former recent military people talked him out of it. I wasn’t expecting that.

~I’m feeling better today; my cold isn’t as bad as before.

~Work has gotten rather busy the past few days, I myself did want it, but it looks like I am going to get some overtime. I can’t stand this job.

~Some people at work call me a dreary SOB, and I am.

~Aguilera weds and I want to know if she played her Dirty song at the wedding.

~Writing is going extremely well in my book. I got an idea while sitting at a table. Getting a great idea is one of the best things a writer can experience, besides getting published.

~Uh, have a happy Thanksgiving yo…

Rush Hour 3

Tucker: “Hey man, we can continue to make these Rush Hour movies just like the Lethal Weapon series.”

After part 3, Rush Hour 4: Shanghai Mornings

Rush Hour 3 all set to go

http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/668/668508p1.html

Comment: Somehow, they convinced Chris Tucker to join to the cast. For a while Tucker didn’t want to have anything to do with it. Director Brett (X-Men 3) Ratner is set direct after his X3 gig is up. If X3 bombs, this will be something he can fall back on.

Gorgeous George

Gorgeous George does suck

http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2683057

Comment: Cable Access guy named Gorgeous George gets a bunch of Prank Calls. Great stuff, I hate this guy, and this is the 1st time I’ve seen him. Keep in mind this is 10 mins

Blankman Review

Blankman

Some movies aren’t that funny when you first watch them. Others aren’t that funny after years have passed. While some are consistently sucky all the time. Blankman is one that is actually funnier now, than when it was released in 94.

Blankman (Damon Wayans) discovers a formula that bounces bullets off of him. So after Grandma Walker is killed, mild-mannered Darryl Walker comes up with the idea to fight crime as a superhero.

Now the movie isn’t good, but still it has some nice touches. I enjoyed seeing him nearly fail on his first days as superhero. The best scene is when he kisses Robin Givens for the first time, classic stuff. I personally would just be freaked out to kiss the same mouth that Tyson kissed. I also enjoyed the really bad inventions that Blankman creates for himself.

Don’t get it twisted, because the movie has some major problems. Robin Givens is sexy, but terrible in the movie. I just don’t believe she can act. Jason Alexander isn’t very good either. I’ve hated him since Seinfeld started. Now He just does Roll Gold Pretzel and KFC Ads. The story loses focus toward the middle and seems to never get it back.

In a nutshell, a fair movie that never takes its self too seriously yet doesn’t go far enough.

Grade C-

Gary Devon, my teacher

Gary Devon is my writing teacher, writing coach. He’s written at least four books, and also teaches English at UofL, JCTC, and IU. I’ve learned a great deal about story telling from him. If you ever get a chance, try to find some of his books; they’re well written, and very entertaining.

Here are some reader reviews of the book Bad Desire. I read this one.

((Bad Desire" is one of the best page-turners I've ever read. Henry Slater will do almost everything can to win the love of Shiela, a beautiful 17-year old girl. After their affair begins, Slater's wife finds out about the affair and "befriends" Shiela, and this is the beginning of the end which is one of the best to come along in the thriller genre in years. The ending reminded me of true Alfred Hitchcock. I quite simply could not put this book down. The only thing that puzzles me is why this excellent author has not written more books.))

((I have read many books, but "Bad Desire," was hands down the BEST thriller I have EVER read in 20 years. I could not put this book down, and I was afraid to turn out the lights after reading it. My heart was racing even after the book ended. I cannot say enough to recommend this book. You will not be able to put it down. I was not as happy with "Wedding Night," the other book by Gary Devon, but "Bad Desire," is a book that you will not be able to put down. The things that the Mayor does to cover up his affair with Sheila will have you on the edge of your seat!))

Ali Center

The Ali Center opens here in Louisville, Ky

http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051121/NEWS01/511210379/1008

Comment: If you live in Louisville (I’m sorry), then you’ve more than likely heard something about the Grand Opening of the Ali Center in Louisville. I mean I’ve heard nothing but the Grand Opening.

While I generally hate boxing, but I respect what Ali has accomplished in his lifetime. He broke a lot of barriers for black men such as myself.

I’ve seen him up close two times in my life. One time, he visited my middle school, years ago. Years later, he was at same restaurant as I.

Another useless fact, his parents lived one house down from my grandmother for a while. It was a house he gave them after he was famous.

Real shame what has happened to him.
Read the sign. I hate when People make up dumb signs like this. You shouldn’t have been out there that long.

Lennox Lewis showed up and no one even asked him to.

Holyfield showed up with his ear. (I know low blow, er, sorry for the Boxing pun)

The Riddler Edward Nygma himself showed up to greet the crowd with riddles.

“Riddle me this: Why did the Grinch steal Christmas?”

Does anyone really care if Ruben Studdard showed up? Is he really a star?

Bush vs. Locked Doors

Bush doesn’t like locked doors

http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2684181

It doesn’t matter which side you’re on, this Bush clip is funny. Watch as he tries to open a locked door, his expression is just priceless. Not as good as the Big Bob Dole fall, but still funny.
