Bad couple of
weeks for Jada Pinkett Smith
First, Will
Smith caught her in the arms of the troll-like Marc Anthony. (Why does the very ugly Anthony pull so many
hot women?) The story went that their
marriage was on the rocks and there was talk of the two of them breaking
up. (Allegedly)
Now, her TV show
Hawthorne
has ended thanks to TNT. I’ve never
seen an episode of the show, but some family members did watch it. I’m not sure how she’ll pay for that Scientology
school now.
The show lasted
for three seasons, and I remember TNT promoting it heavily. So,
what did TNT say about the canning? From
Inside TV, ((“TNT truly appreciates
the tremendous dedication of everyone involved,” the network said in a
statement. “The series gave TNT the opportunity to work with many outstanding
people, including Jada Pinkett Smith and the rest of the show’s talented cast,
crew, producers and writers. We wish everyone involved with HawthoRNe nothing
but the best.”))
In other words,
see ya later, now get out. I guess TNT
doesn’t know drama. I’m thinking TNT is
trimming the fat in order to not lose money. Oh, and the show ended its third season on a
cliffhanger, so that will never pay off.
The reviews for
the show haven’t been kind over the years.
One of the meanest has to be this one from Alan Pergament
from The Buffalo News ((Jada Pinkett
Smith, the actress married to film superstar Will Smith, must be getting a
little bored lately. And now she is going to bore some of us. There is no other
explanation for her decision to star in TNT's routine 'HawthoRNe' as the latest
strong, flawed woman on the cable network."))
Ouch, I don’t
think you want to piss off a member of the space church. I personally think that was a little biting
for me, and I rip famous people apart in my various blog posts.
Hey it is that guy from
that spy TV show. What's his name, Michael...Zartan?
