Jeff Stacey (Stacy?): The stereotype of a predator

Jeff Stacey (Stacy?):  The stereotype of a predator

He was one of those TCAP predators that became a meme.  He has that sex offender facial hair and unkempt hair that would creep out anyone walking near him.  JS also tried to kill himself during the police interview with a pen.  He also had thing about keeping a bunch of keys and a nasty ass jacket.  I also laugh at his cartoon scratchy voice and thick glasses.  He honestly looks like someone that dwells in the sewers.

Anyway, what’s JS been up to since his arrest?  Not much.  His father died a year after his arrest.  He’s no longer listed as a sex offender anymore and he has sort of disappeared from the Internet and the world.

Wil Weaton leaves social media...for good? Shut up, Wil?

Wil Weaton leaves social media...for good?
I have disagreed with Wil many times, yet he did something surprising recently. After standing on the virtue signaling with his boycott of Twitter, he moved to two other social media look-a-likes. Mastodon was one of those social media clones and things didn't go well.
I find it fitting it wasn't the alt-right douchebags that kicked him off, but the far left. We live in interesting times when not even Wil is “woke” enough.
From his Blog/site, (( I was harassed from the minute I made my account, and though I expected the “shut up wesley”s and “go fuck yourself”s to taper off after a day or so, it never did. And even though I never broke any rules on the server I joined (Mastodon is individual “instances” which is like a server, which connects to the “federated timeline”, which is what all the other servers are), one of its admins told me they were suspending my account, because they got 60 (!) reports overnight about my account, and they didn’t want to deal with the drama. ))
Despite being a white knight for Anita and Zoe, he isn't woke enough for Mastodon. He never broke any rules and they him off the site. WTF? Wil Wheaton? He's the man that has devoted years to far left leaning projects and it still triggered people that he was on Mastodon. It seems there were many false flagging going on.
It gets crazier. Here are the reasons the admins booted him. Back during Gamergate, Wil used a GG block-bot that also blocked Trans folks as well. He also is friends with Chris Hardwick. And, he has sided with certain feminists that some consider transphobic.
He really got my respect for this line on his Mastodon. ((Anyway, take your victory lap and collect your prizes. You’ve made it clear that I’m not welcome here, and even though I disagree with the action this Admin is taking (banning me when I didn’t break any rules doesn’t seem right), I respect and support the Admin’s decision to run their instance the way they see fit. ))
This guy put in the SJW hours and he gets treated like this.
As a guy that deals with server depression, I am going to give Wil some advice. Step away from social media and work on your writing skills. Get back to doing creative things, even acting. That Picard show is coming up. Work on your own tabletop show. Put aside the constant social media bickering and do something creative again. Write another damn book.
For the love of God, stop doing those stupid soyboy smiles in pictures.

Transformers: Headmasters (fan dub)

Transformers: Headmasters (fandub)
Holy crap, this is a great dub with some amazing voice work with some fans. Headmasters is a Japanese TF show that continued from the Return of Optimus Prime. The new dub also uses the alt-theme song from the TF movie, which is a nice touch.
The timeline for the show is a bit off though. The TF movie is set in the “futuristic” 2005. The third season was set in 2006. I've heard the Headmasters series is set in 2011. Yet, the wiki says a year after season 3. And, yes, Prime dies again. This makes three times that Optimus has died. I generally see this series as an alt-timeline from the main cartoon line.
There was a small American season 4 that goes in another direction with the Headmasters and simply can't fit in with this version.  However, the US series fits in with the Beast Wars series much better.
This dub is great because it feels like an 80s cartoon show.
They even threw in a few GI Joe references to this new dub. Was that the Cold Slither band from GI Joe? Hmm... It is good to know that Cold Slither is still a hit 20 years later.

unsolicited opinions photos...on (Robbie "show em that starfish" Rodriguez)

Now, this is a first for me. I have heard of people sending gay porn to people on Twitters to shitpost, but I have never seen someone send pictures of their own anus to someone they disagree with. Robbie Rodriguez sent a couple of pictures of his own chocolate starfish to a Comicsgater.
The funny thing is this Robbie dude is actually a professional artist for DC and Marvel in some very big comic books. Why behave like this given your connections to the big two? I am all for people doing silly things, but not when you're supposed to be the professional. Would Stan Lee or Bob Kane show their balls to someone they didn't like?
From One Angry Gamer, ((According to Bleeding Cool, this was the result of a fallout from another argument surrounding #ComicsGate that unfolded online. Rodriguez decided to jump into the argument and offer his two scents. ))
I guess we live in a new world where you send pictures of your junk and butthole when someone grinds your gears. It just seems odd for a guy to send your sensitive bits to your enemy. The last thing I want my enemy to see is my anus. Is showing your anus a manner in which to end an argument? Am I missing something?
I mean Robbie is an artist. He could have drawn his anus instead of presenting the real thing.
Again, you get to do a job many people would love to have and you jeopardize it with this action. After showing his “dark matter emitter”, Robbi has scrubbed his twitter.
I really don't have a horse in this race, I just find it odd and funny.
When he is not showing his brown slicer, he is a very good artist.  Check it out.  (He does need to lay off the hair dye though.)

Hmm, Star Trek Discovery lawsuit still not being mentioned...Why?

It has been five to six days since the lawsuit was announced, and mainstream media still hasn’t mentioned the lawsuit yet.  What gives?  Is Discovery under protective cover by the media?  Most plagiarizing scandals are mentioned by the media, yet this one is not even talked about with the exception of one new post.

I am still loving the fact that CBS shut down the fan-made film set in the same time period and they’re now being accused of plagiarizing an indie game.  They could have easily asked permission to use his idea and paid him.

I am not 100% sure all issues in the lawsuit has merit and I believe it will probably get thrown out.  But, there are too many things similar to be random ideas with the same conclusion.

About that Madden shooting...

About that Madden shooting...
I was completely shocked by the shooting. Here is a lonely asshole nerd going into a fun place and ruining it for everyone. I have to agree with Jim on this. This David dude got butthurt and targeted people that “wronged him”.

Conservatives will use this incident to blame video games in order to move focus away from gun control. SJWs will try to make it about toxic gaming culture. Some are going to claim people bullied him. Ladies and gentlemen, pick your sides. Before we start blocking and yelling at each other, let's pay attention to the shooter's motives and the victims first.
Before pushing our agendas, let's learn all we can from this.
Anyway, let's also make fun of DSP for being a total dick about this in his stream.

Given that your roots are in E-sports, DSP, people probably wanted your opinion on the subject. But, you wanted to be a selfish prick.

Star Trek Discovery and CBS sued.

It looks like there might be some merit to this lawsuit.  Usually, I am not a huge fan of lawsuits, but There are some similarities between this series and the video game that was made in 2014.  It looks like someone swiped the idea because it was “just an indie game”.  There might be some issues with the lawsuit given that the show’s first season is a mixture of different ideas.  Who is responsible for this theft?

As the Midnight Edge people stated before, CBS is already in the doghouse due to them shutting down the fan-made ST movies.

Side Note:  Where is the discussion about this lawsuit from the mainstream media?  It seems no one is talking about it and this should be a big deal.   Only YouTubers are reporting on this lawsuit.

Have bank, will shit

Have bank, will shit
Had a bad day, and I watched this “shit” and it made my day. Well, at least he didn't shit inside the lobby. Am I right? I know someone has already made the “making a deposit” joke so I won't.

This is a bank, so that means there are cameras outside. I'm just saying.

Riley Reid Rap, Yo!

Look, I like you a lot, Riley Reid, but this is terrible. Really terrible.
I know she got in a little trouble over the use of the “n-word”. I don't have an opinion. I did catch this comment from Dustin Haning ((I think you get a free pass to say the N word when you bang as many black dudes as Riley Reid has.))
Being a black man myself. I didn't know there was a ghetto pass for someone that has as many black “pennes” she has had over the years. I didn't know she received her honorary n-word pass due to the dick veto. Why was I not informed at the meeting?
Hey, Riley, don't hate me. I am a big fan...just not a fan of your rap work...yo.  Yet, she is still better than the Paul brothers.

PM Dawn: -Sometimes I Miss You So Much (Dedicated To The Christ Consciousness)

PM Dawn: -Sometimes I Miss You So Much (Dedicated To The Christ Consciousness)
The hook/counter chorus should sound familiar. It is the remake of Al B Sure's Nite & Day track from the 80s. I love when songs use older songs as a basis for a newer song. This song fits right in with the vibe that PM Dawn does with his tracks. He has a New Age/Mystical feel to his lyrics and music. Actually, all of his songs have a spiritual lean to it. I miss this brand of hip-hop.
Al B Sure shows up in the music as well.

Luke Cage Season 2 (part 2 of 2)

The main villain status is shared equally between Bushmaster and (Black) Mariah Dillard. Mariah does take center stage during the second half. Her character is more in tune with the Cottonmouth character from the first season. And, Cottonmouth was the best thing about the first season.
Alfre Woodard steals the show.  She is probably one of the best Marvel villains since Kingpin and Loki.  She tries her best to be a loving mother, but her nature simply won't let it happen.  Plus, she also is running the criminal empire in Harlem. Then, there is the relationship with Shades. She progressively becomes eviler as the season progresses. Woodard is amazing and clearly enjoys the dark turn her character takes.
The series takes a darker turn toward the second half of the season.  Alfre Woodard's character does something extremely unspeakable and heartless.  It is at this point that the character is no longer redeemable. This dark scene/moment is when the character finally turns into a psychopath. Mariah does something so terrible that it is her final path to being a true villain to everyone. Even the people she has around her start to mistrust her. This is great dramatic stuff. I didn't think the show would get this dark given it is a Disney-owned show, but it does.
This also brings the review to her lover/ right-hand man Shades. Shades and his arc is nearly completed here. It even explains some of the unstated things with his character from season one.  I believe Shades really comes into his own.  We get to see inside Shades' mindset and his close friendship with a henchman.  I love all of this stuff and the romance between Mariah.   Simply a wonderful performance from Theo Rossi.
Simone Missick also has a much larger role this season. She comes into her own as the police detective. Her character receives a complete arc. She is dealing with many issues as she returns back to the police force with one less arm. Interestingly enough, she almost receives just as much screen time as Cage. And, she ends up being the morally more stable character at the end of the season as Cage starts to change into a shade of gray.
Character development is much stronger this season because everyone receives a complete arc.
Due to the everyone getting great character moments and payoffs, Luke does get a bit lost in the shuffle because there are so many great characters. Mike Colter is great as always, but the focus is more on the villains and the police detectives. I really liked the arc with his father. I enjoyed that these two characters hated each other, but began to reach out and respect each other.
The arc in the season is Luke starting to loosen up and embrace the hero aspects of his persona. He is starting to take photos and making paid appearances. This is an element we don't see in Daredevil or Batman. The season ends this arc in an interesting manner. It also ties into Mariah's connection to Luke Cage as well.
I also enjoyed the team up between Cage and Iron Fist. It is probably the most comic episode out of the season.
Luke Cage season 2 is a well-constructed show. It retains the 70s black movie vibe while also adding some rich character moments as well. The season had a clear focus on the story it wanted to tell without it feeling disjointed like the previous season. The show is working at all levels because the writers had a clear vision of where they wanted to take the characters and the plot.
With a clear direction and motivation for each character, season two of Luke Cage is a great season of entertainment.  The focus on one story and its competition at the end make this a fun season.  Watching the villains become fleshed out also makes this a fun and fascinating story. When you focus on the story and characters, you can let social commentary flow in an organic manner. That was one of the problems I had with the first season.
I would put this season of Luke Cage up there with the first season of Daredevil as far as quality goes. With great performances from most of the cast, this season is a must watch.

FFXI Memories: Chocobo Theme

FFXI Memories: Chocobo Theme

I know that the game had DLC and updates that added more Chocobo music.  However, this one the first introduction to the famous theme for the theme that has been in many of the FF games.  I remember going on the quest to get permission to ride a Chocobo (license).  It was a safe haven for you to travel through the land without monsters tracking you.

If I am not mistaken, the track was not in the original release of the game but was added with the first expansion.  The track is interesting because it adds instruments as the song goes along.  It is a nice touch.

And, it is certainly better than the FFX2 Chcocobo theme.

Or this mess...

No Chris Pine or Chris Hemsworth

No Chris Pine or Chris Hemsworth  (The loss of the Chris's)

Yes, the copyright problems with the studio is troubling.  CBS owns the TV rights whereas Paramount owns the movie rights.  This is one of the reasons why JJ Abrams left the series and went to the Star Wars universe.  Pine was a good Kirk, but he can be recast, but it might cause some problems with continuity.

Yes, Star Trek Beyond did cause some major problems for the studio, because it didn’t do that well.  This Midnight’s Edge video is pretty revealing about the behind the scenes issues with the ST Beyond.  I remember a director getting fired and another director coming in.  I loved Beyond, but mainstream moviegoers didn’t like it.

CBS and Paramount really need to be merged back together so there aren’t any clashing merchandise ideas.   I would like one shared universe, but I am okay with there being two main universes.  Heck, if DC Comics and Marvel can do it, why not Trek?

There are monsters in the gelatin!

There are monsters in the gelatin!
I hate Reindeer games, but I always laugh at this scene. I was watching the Good Bad or Bad Bad guys talk about this famous scene. I love this scenes because it makes no sense. Why not call them roaches? It is the worst piece of dialogue I've heard since the toad joke in X-Men. Yes, it is funny to see Issac Hayes in a tiny role with the world's dumbest dialogue ever created.
I guess they didn't have the rights to use the term “Jello” instead of gelatin.
I am tempted to yell out “There are monsters in the gelatin!”
Who the man with the roach in hand?  Shaft...Damn right.

FFXI: Airship music (Bringing back those FFXI memories)

FFXI:  Airship music (Bringing back those FFXI memories)

Listening to this laidback track just puts me back to a different time when I spent hours upon hours playing FFXI on my PS2.  I remember riding my first airship to Kazham.  It was a great moment and the music made it better.  Basically, you went to another land that wasn’t really connected to the mainland and you had to take an airship to it.

What made FFXI standout from the rest of the Online RPGs was the music.  It was really good and invoked feeling and culture.  The Airship theme invoked wonder because that was what you felt.

I’ve been watching a lot of FFXI videos lately and having a desire to get back to this super old game.  It had a charm to it.  Plus, the game has gotten better with the robo-team members like the FFXII model of gameplay.  FFXII was influenced by FFXI, but then FFXI used the auto-battle AI members in later updates.  No longer do you have to wait for parties to pick you up.

Anyway, here is a sweet remix of the track.
