Look, Sony is creatively bankrupt. It was a smart move for the two studios to work it out. Spider-Man is better when he works with other Marvel movies. We’ll we ever get the Sony/Marvel to connect universes?
From Hollywood Reporter, (("I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it,” said Marvel topper Kevin Feige. "Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.”))
Sony needs a hit and Marvel likes having Spider-Man around. Like I stated, Spider-Man II made a billion dollars. Sony would be stupid to walk away from that. Keep in mind that I loved the Spider-verse movie, but Sony can’t seem to make stand-alone Spider-Man movies.
