Fan Made intro to a Captain Pike show...

Hey CBS, forget Discovery.  This is what we want... 

Hey, CBS, stop getting good writers from leaving your series and actually do a series that people would care about.  If you’re going to develop a prequel series set before Kirk’s time, why NOT do a Pike series.  The Cage was what Trek was supposed to be in its rawest form.  When NBC rejected the first pilot, Gene had to make some major changes to the show in order to get greenlit.   

Anson Mount was a great choice. They should have started with a Pike and Picard series of shows.
